Thread regarding Gainwell Technologies layoffs

Why isn't anybody trying to stop the brain drain?

I've watched some of our best engineers leave for rivals. Nobody's even counteroffering. It's like they don't care.

They don't care. I'm on a call for a couple functional areas, one area - 365x24, the other one every 3 wks. I've been asking about this for over 2yrs.

Then on top of that, add a customer that questions your ability to do your job. I put it as a hostile work environment. Mgmt days one thing, but doesn't follow through.

Every meeting feels like a battle, cuz the customer is snarky. I don't do it back, cuz my Momma raised me well.

Accounts would rather pay the contract penalty than fill a vacant position. The other side of that strategy is over-worked and unqualified staff trying to fill the gaps. Quality and morale suffers, and so on and so on.

Going to be sold soon.

Must cook the books and show cost reduction/ value capture.

Gainwell is such a mess. The only people that should continue working for Gainwell are those close to retirement. Everyone else should vacate the organization.

@OP I had a similar discussion with a coworker the other day. Accounts aren't even bothering to replace key billable personnel anymore. It's as if management has thrown in the towel.
