Being marked Critical

If my teammate and myself are marked Critical, what does that mean for us? We both work in non-core city locations (hybrid). We're also close to retirement plans, and are hoping for a layoff with severance at some point in the near future. Thanks.

Is it possible?

Is it possible to apply and get another position that is only hiring and locations if you are full-time remote? The hiring manager is interested, but I do not know if they know where I am located. He reached out to the recruiter and the recruiter... — read more

Attrition is just as bad as layoffs

Looks like none of the good workers want to stick around here anymore. The ones who actually know what they’re doing are bailing as fast as they can, and that says a lot about how things really are on the floor.

Is it a fair assessment; I asked chatgpt about cultural Misalignment of converting Wells Fargo into JPMorgan Lite?

Is it possible to prevent getting a remote exception or can a manager put you in for one without your consent?

Does this place hire people fresh out of college

I haven’t seen any young people hired here in ages. Management recently showed a list of interns in a PPT slide and 95% were Indian names. A coworker told me his kid tried to get a WF college scholarship here and the company rejected them, I didn't... — read more

CPG Outsource Fiasco

So the plan is to outsource all of CPG to three main providers and you must be offered a similar role. Some folks were displaced as part of this, but I was one of the “lucky” ones picked to go to CBRE. Part of the job requirement though for me to... — read more

How do you deal with toxic people on a team?

Our manager is completely passive, doing everything possible to avoid conflict. They're the absentee type, lacking any real authority. Meanwhile, a few individuals are making life difficult for the rest of us. It’s not about workload or taking credit... — read more

In retrospect, being laid off was a favor

At WF, it’s easy to completely lose perspective. I got caught up in the constant pressure, toxicity, and anxiety too. I stopped thinking about my own interests, let alone imagining that I could actually work somewhere else. I was laid off six... — read more

Should I start packing?

Today I finally lost it on my manager after months of being micromanaged, talked down to, and blamed for things that weren’t even mine. I didn’t yell, but I definitely didn’t keep it neutral. I’ve put up with so much, especially since he was brought... — read more

Asset Cap

This is a couple of months late, but I think it's hilarious how WF employees celebrated the lifting of the asset cap. Seemed almost like bragging about it, like look at us. We're on the move! We got 2k in RSRs! Bo-m! WF is back! Lol. Um, I'm not so... — read more

Let Go for Poor Performance - No severance.

Yeah right. More than 20 years in tech and always respected and rewarded for my work . The only problem is the job has to go to Indian and my Indian manager of a year really didn't like me being American and having American views. Bummer.

"20 Year Severance "??? Not 40 weeks sev?

After over 20 years with Wells Fargo, they laid me off today. I was the happiest person in the room. Two months salary and medical, and a 20 year severance package. With that, I'm retired!
