Horrible Workplace.
Exec Management Openly Despises it's employee base.
Lunatic for CEO who is Hammer/Nail pounder from bygone era.
Horrible investment.
Missed the boat on so many things and got taken to the cleaners by countless players and then ridiculed by anyone with a smidge of business sense.
Think about what could have been but the SBC ATT leadership culture and their hubris couldn't get past hammer/nail mentality.

Did anyone get an email from their Manager to leave early today for 4th of July?
At my old Bank, we usually only work half day so we can go out early to celebrate the holidays. I am surprised not to sd an email from any of the managers.
What happened to people first and celebration of holidays?!!
The Hampton? Wimbledon? Taylor Swift’s wedding?
Wherever are fearless/feckless leader is spending the 4th, just know that you have made thousands of people and their families miserable this year. And yes, you definitely give off Swiftie vibes.
3 more months
Til we leave this sh-tshow. PTSD will still linger from mission 1 but we will all recover. F this place and good luck everyone.
P-m is a flop and Mckinse.. sold us a strategy for failure.
Post everywhere and advertise to the world so its known what a miserable state of affairs this turned out to be. destroyed lives, business and any hope that things will get better.
Uncon. Run by the best leadership
Proud to be in Uncon. Working for the best, corrupt, useless leadership. All they care about is posting in LinkedIn how great they are. Seeing supervisors and managements treat their people like slaves day in / day out and wait for the ranking results … We all know a supervisor or manager; they really don’t do a sht daily. They look busy.
Happy 4th, Canon Employees (not leadership)
Sounds like there has been rolling layoffs through some depts over the last week or two, and we all remember what happened in the week following the 4th in 2024.
I don't know what next week holds, but don't forget what we've all done for this company over the years. If layoffs come next week, remember that it's not a reflection on you. Layoffs are a failure of senior leadership and strategy, not the employee base doing the day-to-day work.
Enjoy your weekend, CUSA team! I hope the beer is cold, the grills are hot, the A/C is powerful, and the explosives safe and hilarious! I look forward to lambasting senior leadership next week if talented people lose their jobs to the Ai fantasy and vendor pool. (If it's any consolation, I used a hoard of Canon's Ai tokens on pointless nonsense today because I could and we were told to use Gemini, right? LOL)
Have a good weekend Canon team.
VERIZON Dollars email
Anyone else laughing at the latest VZ Email = Your $10 in Verizon Dollars is here!! WTF are they smoking as its right up there with Simplicity is Se-y! We are done for!!
mid year reviews
Just read mine and it looked wonderful until it says I should do more. Ok I work 10-11 hrs daily yet my rating is "tracking towards below expectations" I felt I just got slapped.
I wish I was cut
Half my team's gone. Who's expected to do their work? I'm gonna take a wild guess and say those of us left.
So tired of this cr-p
I remember when this place actually felt good to be at, but that was before a certain (leaving this vague for a reason) group got hired in one big batch and shifted the whole dynamic. They built their own little group, pushed out the old guard, and now it is all gossip and maneuvering instead of just getting things done. I have been here around seventeen years and at this point I just want to do my job and go home without worrying about who is talking about who or what game is being played next.
This is interesting
I’m slaving away working my four carts. Trying to get it all put out fast so me CPH will be high and I won’t go over me time….IMPOSSIBLE!!!
Sweat rolling off my face.
Then I see this ONE cart that three Walmart people are working on… they each pick up one case at a time walk down the aisle where it goes they come back and they chat, giggle take a few minutes. Take a few more minutes. They’re having a good ole time.
I’m thinking WHAT!!.. In my brain. Guess I took a moment too (Giggle)
Sweat still rolling down me face as I have to get back on the hamster wheel.
Just thought I would share that.
I Miss AT&T Already
I can’t believe it’s really over. I would gladly work In the office full time again if it meant I could keep my job. AT&T was such a big part of my life. I feel so lost.
Stocks
My stocks are turning into ashes. What a bad decision it is in name of transition to AI and making employees as scape goats. I never received recognition, money, promotion, perks, hikes. All I was given was a little stock bonus over years. These stocks linger in lower 100's when META and other stock go beyond 500.
Useless management style going with adhoc decisions always. You layoff talented employees and work with ... .....
Stocks might come up but not employee morale. Its completely broken now. Even you stand up its going to take years to rebuild this. You build an empire in sky without a customer and without any money losing all your talented people.
If stock rises up again, I will sell immediately. All my years of blood shedding for this company has evaporated
For those still employed would you ever admit?
Aside from the overall strategy to reduce the onshore employees, which is terrible for us all and of course we all hate it... would you ever admit that seeing the company rally back is a positive? Or has hatred for the company which allows you to pay your mortgage clouded that fact?
Breaking News: Subjugation and humiliation coming to an Oracle team near you!
You work for the oligarchy. You will deliver.
(nothing personal)
Backstabbers, Quiet Quitters, Brown Nosers, High school dropouts, etc.
The joys of working :)
another draw check for June
by this rate I won't get paid until next year. thanks dell
Beyond Stressful
People that work the most are going to suffer the most...So November huh? For non reps?
Hope yall are driving a Porsche/Bimmer to work
Soemthing to look forward to after the cr-ppy workday
Taking away our cash balance/pension?
Seriously? First they take the pension away now the biweekly deposits to make up for the pension is going away? Is the goal to make your employees as unhappy as possible?
Dropping Like Flies
I love seeing Cengage crumble through this gossip site and my friends eyes who still suffer there until they get a new gig.
I get calls from professors asking for help lol. I just recommended other publishers.
My store is a joke
The management keeps promoting people who don't deserve it in any way and they prove how unqualified they are for their position within months. Does that change anything, though? No. I don't have to explain to you how that works out for the rest of us. I hate this place.
Layoffs will continue until morale improves!
That genuinely seems to be the plan. I wish I was joking.
How long until it all falls apart?
There's something I've noticed: a meeting starts, someone kicks it off with the generic "How's it going?", and the response is a crestfallen look, a deep breath, and "it's fine."
Nobody is okay anymore. Nobody is happy. Nobody is getting anything done.
We have no leadership, no support, and no idea where to go from here.
We can't go on like this.
Fatigued with showing my worth
I don’t know about you all but I’m so tired of having to prove what I do day in and out. I have been asked for accomplishments from this year on a couple of different occasions and for different audiences and I need to map them back to my goals. I also must do a formal documented development plan in workday.
I don’t know what they are being used for, probably to stack rank us and for conversations about our futures. Either way they have created this environment where every little thing makes a person feel like they need to prove and be thankful for a job. Last time I checked doing my job day to day sufficiently should be enough. I don’t know why I typed this. It’s feeling heavy today I guess.
Verizon’s Future Is Becoming Harder to Ignore
Being dropped from the Dow was a wake up call. The stock has struggled, morale has taken a hit, and many employees and investors are questioning the company’s direction. CEO Dan Schulman seems increasingly disconnected from those concerns. Cutting costs can only go so far, Verizon needs a clear strategy to rebuild confidence, grow again, and prove its best days aren’t behind it.
When is enough enough
How much are we expected to take? Month after month they continue to move the goal post. It’s nearly IMPOSSIBLE to make money if you’re in a sales role. Quotas continue to rise all because we are bleeding customers and that falls on the frontline. We continue to bust out a$$ just to get crapped on. The people setting these targets need a dose of reality. Put a tablet in their hand and see if they can do it. That would sure be a nice comedy show for us.
Asked to work on the holiday
Any other groups asked to come in and work the holiday? This company can get bent. maybe stop laying people off and forcing people to quit and you won't be behind.
Let's be honest - none of us care about Verizon
Seeing how the company has treated our peers that were let go, I can honestly say that I do not care about Verizon and I am at the Director level. Knowing I could be let go at any minute I encourage my teams to be just as indifferent as I am as they could be gone tomorrow too. We are all just here couting our days and cashing our checks while doing the bare minimum until it is our turn. This is the monster Verizon has created which is the vicious cycle that has led to the failure that Verizon is today.
Market Based No Loyalty Clown Show
The 8/1/25 email may end up being remembered as one of the most damaging leadership communications in AT&T’s history. Maybe even corporate world history. Not because of one quote, but because of the mindset behind it.
Employees said morale was declining, flexibility mattered, talent was leaving, and five-day RTO was making things worse. Instead of asking why so many people felt the same way, leadership explained why employees were wrong. Feedback was described as “more outliers than we’d like,” and employees were told there “might be a disconnect between you and your current professional choice.”
That response didn’t rebuild trust. It widened the gap between leadership and the workforce.
The issue was never just RTO. It was the message that came with it… when employee feedback conflicts with leadership’s narrative, the feedback not the strategy is what gets questioned.
You can mandate attendance. You can track presence. You can enforce compliance. But you can’t mandate trust, engagement, or belief in the direction of the company and that’s what Stinky is too boneheaded to understand.
Leadership is ultimately measured by results, whether people want to stay, whether top talent wants to join, and whether the company is moving in the right direction. Those are the questions that matter.
Stink is unfit to lead and should resign immediately.
No raises. No CL promotions.
More cost cutting planned. As a result expect no raises and no CL promotions again this year. Meanwhile as inflation eats away at your pay, the buying power of your compensation goes down further.
This on going discussion is a sad state of affairs
This is what Medtronic has become... layoffs, VERPs and no discussion about the patient.
So sad.
Does anybody else feel like Verizon is a lost cause?
I don't mean it'll go under any time soon, but there have been so many wrong moves in the past decade or so that I don't see a way to come out on top once again, no matter what's done. I just think Verizon has seen its best days and it'll always be downhill from now on.
My three biggest issues with Oracle
People who take credit for things I did and then getting promoted based on it, managers who keep making false promises but never actually delivering on them, and cowardly managers who never bother to stand up for their people. I know for a fact this is not just my experience and the fact that it's happening to plenty others shows there's something deeply wrong with this place.
Sc--w this place
That’s all. That’s the post.
"In coming weeks" nightmare
I am sick to my stomach after hearing "more updates to follow in coming weeks" day after day.
While I try hard to not let this BS affect my productivity, it's becoming harder to focus
Independence Day
Do we really not get Friday or Monday off Tudor the holiday?? Are you sh-----g me.
Feeling defeated, tired and angry…
I really thought centene was a great company when I joined. I thought I had a pretty solid team with great leadership. Only to find out it was all a facade. My leadership still refuses to address this issue with empathy towards the team. The director doesn’t seem to gaf about the team and their well being and neither does any of the leaders under her. They should focus on replacing all of management and irrelevant positions. I need them to hurry up and let me go if that’s what they want to do so I can collect unemployment. I have zero desire to do any work and to top it off, every single teammate is disgruntled leaving all their work for others to do…. Job hunting has been an utter nightmare and staying positive is beginning to take a toll. Sorry for the venting this is just terrible. I’m so disappointed in my leadership team and their lack of concern or empathy for their team.
