Don’t speak up!

Put your head down and do your work. Fortunately the CSO isn’t actually the one that keeps us safe. He sits behind the doors that he closes behind him in his fraternity room. Bringing the sorority girls in one by one, you know the favorites. The ones that he protects and the ones that protect his little secrets that aren’t even secret! The company doesn’t have time or money for lawsuits to waste on people like this anymore! It’s just a matter of time. One would think that integrity is a core competency as the CSO! Shane on you Nike HR and legal!

Already going against public statements to pause tuckins

I’m shocked that they just bought another company when they have said publicly many times they will stop for a while (they just bought a new one last week)

How is the ceo able to say one thing in earnings and within a month do the opposite

New Avaya story

Hi all, I ran a second story on the lawsuit and arbitration process. Information is still very scant, but a source at Avaya alleges that it discovered a C1 document called “The Great Migration.”

If you have any insights, email me at janderson@industrydive.com

We are led by !diots from Downstream thinking everything is about them

Downstream VPs managers ruining Upstream, Uncon experienced folks ruining Deepwater and Deepwater folks ruining Uncon.

Yes we need cross fu ctional experience, but not Leaders/managers. They come and make people do uncecessary studies and projects which are doomed to fail. The upstream industry is more than 100 years old, yet these d-mb bozoz think they can change the world.

This is foolishness

Maintenence Tech

The idea that a fiber technician can properly maintain a hybrid fiber coaxial plant with limited hours and frequent outages while also disparaging the expertise of outside plant technicians , and vice versa referring to us as maintenance technicians, is completely ridiculous always trying to reinvent the wheel when you know this Altice Optimum experiment will always be nothing but a ponzi scheme

Let’s get the truth straight here

Lexmark was purchased by Xerox.
Yes Lexmark is owned by Xerox.
BUT... Lexmark the company has not yet been disolved.
SO.... Lexmark employees are still getting pay checks from the Company Lexmark.

But lets be honest.
Legacy Xerox no longer exists.
Legacy Lexmark no longer exists.
What exists is "New CO", but I only see Xerox people fighting against the future and instead holding on tight to the "Legacy".

So the bigger question is why do the "Legacy" Xerox employees feel a need to be mean, narcisitic a--holes to the "Legacy" Lexmark employees who are just trying to do our jobs as the "Business" / "NEW CO" has asked us to do?

Since you get offended anytime you feel like the "Legacy Xerox" way is being subligated or talked badly about or neglected... please tell us how you would like us to refer to the different technologies, proceadures, processes and servers so that there is no mistaking which component is being discussed?

Also Please let us know how we move forward as the "NEW CO" so that your feelings aren't hurt everytime a business decision has to be made for the betterment of the "NEW CO".

Would you like us to just start refering to "Legacy Xerox" people as "our supreme overlords" and "Legacy Lexmark" people as "Those that you saved"? Because thats how it feels.

Or here is an idea... how about you get rid of he idea that the Xerox you see today is the same Xerox that existed a year ago or 5 years ago etc.. etc..

Instead realize we are now a team and we have to make hard decisions and choose what's best for "New CO" which means cobeliing together pieces from both. Maybe that means chosing "Legacy Xerox" options or maybe it means chosing "Legacy Lexmark options.

You don't have to like it but fu--ing stop with the narcistic idea that you are somehow better than the people trying to work with you and patch the holes in the sinking ship.

M-rating

I received an M rating, and people are telling me it’s bad? . I’m the smartest person on my team and my “boss” is an unqualified Saudi woman. I’ve emailed her boss and told him as much, but I don’t know if that will help? To those of you considering coming here, be mindful they prioritize their own despite how much value you may add.

Nice Look for our CEO: personally investing in start-ups and then directing United to work with them

No conflict of interest at all, right?

Right?

Bro has money poisoning.

My favorite quote: "Directors of companies registered in Delaware, as UnitedHealth is, have a “duty of loyalty”—an obligation to put the company’s interests ahead of their own. A director who invests personally in a startup in the same industry without first clearing it with his company could be breaching that duty, legal experts say."

ZG joining DE at Alvarez

OMG! Another one of our former ELT is joining A&M. The same BT firm we wasted millions of $$$ on. There must a a conflict of interest or under the table deal. Pay the millions, when BT doesn’t work and you jump ship, just join them.

Ethics should investigate! Oh wait…that would be a waste of time.

Is CISO Rich Baich adhering to AT&T's ethical standards or acting in his own self interest?

Did Rich Baich engage in conduct that may constitute a conflict of interest? Rich Baich serves as Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and Senior Vice President at AT&T. Rich's daughter, for reference, serves as Director of Product Management at SimSpace, a cybersecurity training platform.

  • In November 2024, Rich Baich hosted SimSpace’s Cyber Cup competition at AT&T's HQ, in which AT&T placed first in the Cyber Cup Defensive Challenge.
  • Rich and his daughter presented together at RSAC 2025 in a session titled “Nurturing the Next Generation of Cyber Defenders” on April 28, 2025. https://www.rsaconference.com/experts/rich-baich

  • Rich Baich hosted the 2025 “Telecommunications Cyber Cup Challenge,” involving 13 global telecommunications carriers in Washington D.C., with SimSpace. https://www.attconnects.com/working-together-to-prepare-for-tomorrows-threats-today/

Do these activities represent a potential conflict of interest, abuse of position or authority, lack of objectivity, breach of fiduciary duty, or violation of corporate ethics policies?

A Boeing HR hassled me before the holiday break about a note my doctor wrote regarding my absence

The HR excused me of forging the note. I responded saying HR Karen, I don't like being excused or forging a doctor's note, therefore have your HR manager call my doctor and verify the note. The HR Karen got in a huff about my referring to her as a Karen and told me she was going to have me written up by my manager for it. I talked to my manager before the start of break, and he told me not to worry about it because he's not going to take any orders from a Boeing HR Karen demanding I be written up.

Always remember who HR really works for

In my old company, a colleague had a serious issue with a director and went to HR for help. She documented everything perfectly. Instead of investigating, HR scheduled a mediation where they sided with the director and suggested my colleague was not a team fit. It was a clear lesson that their only job is to protect the company from us. From what I've seen here so far, the same applies here.

If anyone needs some good news today…

Warner Bros Discovery has urged shareholders to reject a $108.4bn hostile takeover offer from Paramount Skydance, branding it “inadequate” amid an extraordinary corporate battle to control the legacy media conglomerate.

In a blunt letter to shareholders on Wednesday morning, WBD accused Paramount of having “consistently misled” investors by claiming its bid has a “full backstop” – a safety net to ensure it has sufficient funds – from the Ellisons.

Paramount did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

“Following a careful evaluation of Paramount’s recently launched tender offer, the Board concluded that the offer’s value is inadequate, with significant risks and costs imposed on our shareholders,” Samuel A Di Piazza Jr, chairman of WBD’s board, said in a statement. “This offer once again fails to address key concerns that we have consistently communicated to Paramount throughout our extensive engagement and review of their six previous proposals.

“We are confident that our merger with Netflix represents superior, more certain value for our shareholders and we look forward to delivering on the compelling benefits of our combination.”

Why do managers at BC always seem to be in conflict with each other?

I was am employee from VMware. After in BC, I find managers always fight with other manager.

They make every source code, KB and discuss meeting notes only available inside the group, ask engineer do not do any task comes from other manager, and even ask engineer do not help customer just because the team is busy on a new version release.

Today my manager ask me to fight with a team member, pushing them to do something.

How does this phenomenon occur?

ML If you are reading this..

I posted here about how a TC vape pen was planted on company grounds. I reported discriminatory harassment, which ended up with what I'm certain was retaliation. I criticized this heavily, and believe some former/current C-suite have escalated things. It has been posted on this forum about a 2013 spying scandal. You will find that certain technologies were still being used according to their 2020 financial reports listing Fiserv as a client. These are difficult people that will do whatever they want to make your life hll in NJ.

Hughes is required to refer new customers to starlink

I recently found out that Hughes doesn’t actually own the Jupiter-3 satellite, it’s leased from EchoStar, and Hughes pays about $190 million per year for that lease.

I also learned that the SpaceX–EchoStar spectrum deal includes a clause requiring EchoStar/Hughes to refer new customers to Starlink. Essentially, if someone wants satellite internet, EchoStar will direct them to SpaceX’s Starlink service . Bonkers 🤯
