On the day before the holidays the Manager would make sure you left by 11AM. I remember my manager was off that day but another Manager did a walk about the building telling everyone to go home.
Now if you are lucky they tell you after 3pm.

Question now is will the Federal Reserve add it to their holiday schedule and then will we get an email from Charlie telling us that we are off too?
I'm just wondering what everyone is thinking lately. Survey results feel extremely vague. Holiday gifts felt thrown together last minute. Lost the Amazon stipend. No explanation for anything, they just keep taking away but the messaging is how great we're doing. Jeff Decker retiring. Jill Marmo retiring. I've heard several positions are open due to people leaving and they aren't backfillng. Stock price is underwater. Feels like a sinking ship and I don't know how long I can hold on.
Does that ever happen at this company since the leaders have no qualms about it? Or do we have to wait till January to kick off fresh 2026 waves to hit the target?
Just seen that a president announced that federal gov is closed for Christmas 12/24 & 12/26. Are banks going to follow and give us the holidays off as per federal holiday schedule?
So I received a lovely needs improvement fir my year end review, I was shock, I guess I was the target of that 5-10% percentage that a manager needs to give for needs improvement… so what’s next, 1-3 or 3-6 min til Termination??? So don’t need to pay Severance?? Is that the plan? Hope is not backfire, cause no one left to work LOL.. cheers, Happy Holidays to all, until next year
Nothing where I’m at. But there have been a lot of rumors about more coming on Monday. I know we’re in this for the long haul, but I’d really like to know whether we’ll at least be left alone until the holidays are over.
I’ve noticed some social media posts from BA and Manila’s holiday parties and can’t help but feel sad and a sense of resentment for us American workers. Something has to change on a national and economic policy basis. American workers are getting decimated
It’s just gross that layoffs are coming. They can’t seem to find a time to do it except around the US holidays. It was better in the old days when they’d do it in August. But no…. They decide names in Nov and plan to do it later winter.
I mean there is never a good time but having a dark cloud over the holidays just stinks. Thanks ELT! I hope you can’t sleep at night!
100+ LAID off today no rhyme or reason lots of tears
I had to sacrifice two members of my team in OI, and I am absolutely disgusted by it. They did nothing wrong, and if I hadn’t submitted names, my manager would have.
I’m so sorry for everyone who will be impacted right before the holidays. Please don’t wait to get the notice—start applying now so you have a pipeline of opportunities going into the new year.
More layoffs are coming around the mountain.
Happy Holidays
Welp… looks like another Tuesday is about to get interesting at Honeywell.
According to some around various teams, something big is set to drop—and yes, it lines up with Honeywell’s not-so-secret tradition of choosing Tuesdays for major shake-ups. (Because apparently nothing says “good morning” like a mid-week panic.)
Insiders are whispering that layoffs could be announced as early as Tuesday morning, with multiple groups bracing for impact. No official word yet, but the timing alone is raising eyebrows—this always seems to happen on a Tuesday, doesn’t it? Especially before Christmas.
If you’re inside Honeywell, keep your calendar wide open.
If you’re watching from the outside… grab popcorn.
If previous years are any indication, T will hit us with another round of cuts sometime around holidays. Timing feels cruel, but it is very on brand.
I haven’t heard any new rumors about imminent layoffs. Have you?
You better watch out,
You better not cry,
You better not pout,
I'm telling you why...
Stankey Claus is coming to destroy your town!
He's making a list,
And cutting it twice,
Gonna find out,
Who's naughty or nice.
Stankey Claus is coming to destroy your town!
He sees you when you're in less than 8 hours,
He knows when you’re giving bad Employee surveys.
He knows if you've been bad or good,
So be good for goodness sake- cause he just wants to control you.
Cause Stankey Claus, the worst CEO in America, is coming… TO TOWN….. to sc--w up your location with ridiculous demands.
Have a merry Xmas everyone! Except the Grinch that is.
To my Spain and US colleagues how are we feeling after the recent Spain reduction? Gartner always thinking about their people especially before the holidays ha
Friends at Fannie said they got new company holidays - December 24 and 26.
The last few years in the Vz meatgrinder has taken a toll on my mental and physical health so I’ve decided to spend the remaining days of December eating, drinking, recharging and enjoying time with family and friends. I’ll start the job search in 2026. 🎅 ☃️ 🎁
Just in time for the holidays!
Do you think PP has ever seen Christmas Vacation? I say no….
Had to lay off the turkey this year, but hot dogs are pleasing in their own way. Add some beans, maybe some bacon drippings, and life is still pretty good in America!
On behalf of the employees in the US that are about to celebrate the holidays among the stress of layoffs and restructuring, shame on bp. A company already struggling with a leadership and expertise vacuum gets weaker and more inefficient everyday due to its half-hearted offshoring efforts. It’s amusing to see roles being filled by people who have no idea what they are doing with little to no leadership oversight. Even basic technical functions have ground to a halt. The domestic staff that are retained have zero motivation to work hard because they know they’re likely to be a victim of the next transformation.
If you’re a shareholder, you should be concerned. What ever stock gains you see from “cutting costs” and inflated “profit” due to inflation will be undone in just a few months by the incompetency of a workforce that has little to no understanding of the domestic market. This is the nail in the coffin for bp. Bookmark this.
Happy Thanksgiving to everyone on board. Over the past six months, being here has truly felt like being welcomed into a real community and a second family. I am grateful for the support, kindness, and everyday moments we have shared together.
Wishing you and your families a wonderful holiday filled with good food, warmth, laughter, and time to relax with the people you love. All the very best to each of you today and throughout the season ahead.
Happy Thanksgiving to all of you on board. Being here last 2 months felt like I was part of the community and a family. All the best to all of you and your families.
It's not the best, but it's better than many other companies. With the job market in the state it is, just having a job is a big deal. So Happy Thanksgiving, everybody!
Try to relax, if you can. I can’t. I still have a job, but the last month really took a toll. I feel deeply for the people who were let go, and I wish them the best of luck. I can still pay the bills, but surviving this round doesn’t feel like a win at all.
This is my last thanksgiving as an employee. Effectively retiring in January. There’s been many ups and downs throughout the years and friends that have come and gone. Though it’s not the place and environment I started with I’d do it all over again. Good luck to those that are left with the upcoming changes, I hope it works out for the best when it’s all said and done.
If I have any advice..:.don’t dwell on what you think could happen down the road. Work and live in the now and someday you wake up 37 years later and it’s all behind you.
Hope you still have a job by end of year
Hey, all flex people! Don't forget that Maurice expects you to be in the office Monday through Wednesday this week, since Thursday and Friday take the place of your 2 WFH days!
Employee Relations and Conduct Management are getting laid off, not a Tuesday and just before the holidays. Multiple on each team are being pre selected for displacement in December. Thanks HellsFargo
We have families and kids that depend on us. Everyone’s all worried and it’s impossible to find a decent job in this economy.
Damn it. They have no empathy. And all the available jobs su-k and are pay cuts.
I just got word this suppose Thursday deadline is just rumor. This is postponed our another month as more high level discussions occur. So just relax enjoy thanksgiving.
How many layoffs are coming early December … what teams are being hit hardest! Poor Meg employees are dealing with all this before Christmas
Good luck and best wishes to all of us!
The worst thing at the worst time of the year!
Shame on you Board and Dan! Had the board been stronger and not rubber stamping all of Hans’ hires and ideas - we may not be in this mess.
Hoping we’re done for the holidays, but not feeling very confident.
“You don’t have to come in, you can work remote through thanksgiving”
What about the 5 dollar burger special on Thursday??
Great timing for the HOLIDAYS!
