My manager just added something to my calendar two months out. So I’m good this round.

I get it. We have bad security men here and even worst security leaders. But being vigilantes is not the answer. But it does make me feel better that at least someone here is doing something about it. Its bad either way.

I believe we'll only be safe come Monday.

Anyone irritated and concerned that the Jacksonville campus is shutting down the parking garage for a good bit of time to pressure wash a practically new garage? Meanwhile, our whole state has a drought and terrible fires destroying our homes.. and we can’t water our grasp but once a week - yet the bank thinks it’s a good time to pressure wash a garage?

I don’t think that’s what they’re doing. I actually suspect that they are working on a sinkhole issue. I won’t park in that garage.. the campus has had sinkhole concerns for decades - and now the aquifer is dangerously low, so no thanks!

Does anybody else feel like Suncor has absolutely fu--ing destroyed the company it puts profit over safety and it just absolutely taken the soul out of the company

The CTA is implementing a new security strategy for its transit system. The agency recently laid off 159 contracted security guards. These guards were employed through Monterrey Security. Funding previously allocated to these guards will now be directed to sworn officers and other security resources. This shift aims to enhance safety for both riders and staff.

Cherry Point has always had the potential to be exceptional. The hope is that leadership will re-engage with the people on the ground and work to rebuild the trust and culture that once made this site so strong.

Perdue Foods will dismantle its Cofield feed mill. This follows a February 21 explosion that shut down operations. Fifteen feed mill employees will be terminated on April 19. These workers received pay and benefits since the incident. Other Perdue complex employees face temporary shutdowns or reassignments.

Weird day Friday with leaders in various meetings. Several directors appeared upset or mad after the meetings. Any news on restructuring or layoffs at the office?

Why are the signs that tell how many parking spaces are available not working? Why is the hurt free days on campus sign not working?

Meow Wolf announced layoffs affecting security staff across its locations. These cuts impact installations in New Mexico, Nevada, Colorado, and Texas. The Meow Wolf Workers Collective union made the announcement. In-exhibit security will now be limited to guest entry points. The union claims this decision is unsafe for both staff and guests.

Civilian employees at Pease Air National Guard Base face job losses. The National Guard Bureau proposes cutting 10 personnel at Pease. This is part of a 10.7% reduction in its civilian workforce. New Hampshire's congressional delegation opposes these anticipated layoffs. They warn of potential national air safety issues from such cuts.

Once again a large police presence on Stanwix street yesterday late afternoon when a wanted female was chased and apprehended on federal firearm charges along with charges related to carjacking, kidnapping and robbery. The streets around the PNC buildings are littered with crime, dr-gs and the mentally unstable. Just steps from the PNC headquarters on Wood St. is a large bus stop where I have personally witnessed fights and dr-g use. Plus the weekly uncapped used needles on the sidewalk. PNC's RTO message in January did not mention a single thing regarding the crime in the streets or the safety of the employees. So while the executives and Bill get executive protection what do we get? A 1.5% raise that will be eaten up by commute costs in just 6 weeks.
For context I have been remote for a few years and have not had to deal with daily crime of the Pittsburgh streets. I feel fortunate to have that option. Crime wasn't as bad when I was in the office.

Sure all big cities have their problems and this is nothing new for Pittsburgh. Unfortunately the city has only gotten worse. Don't get your hopes up because the NFL draft is coming to Pittsburgh and the city workers are attempting to make things look clean and inviting. Because as soon as the draft packs up those "nuisance problems" will be back.

Union Pacific Railroad recently laid off multiple carmen in Green River. The company also closed its Green River repair shop for heavy repairs. Union Pacific stated these changes enhance freight fluidity across its network. Light repairs and inspections will continue at the Green River location. A former union director expressed serious safety concerns regarding these staffing reductions.

An Ohio Ford employee is dead after being trapped and crushed by a malfunctioning industrial machine at a company plant this week. We need to be clear: controllers will not be relocating to Tulsa. This move would result in the loss of critical experience that safe pipeline operations legally depend on every day.

Seagull needs to fully understand this reality. Our position on relocation must be communicated clearly. We need to stop training backfills to move roles to Houston. If Seagull chooses to move, have her develop and implement the training.

Yes, time is coming and we are about to implode with all the multiple organizational changes that add no value apart from headcount reduction and the downstreamers managing upstream like a refinery and ki-ling it long term. Expect more safety incidents, more process safety events and more blame on the employees for not following procedures (even though nobody knows what they are anymore). The attrition is rising and we are in a downward vicious circle now.

We just got in 4 new forklift batteries … now there is a rule we can’t use the chains to pick them up off the pallet with a forklift to put them on the battery changer! So, home office .. please enlighten all of us on just how are we supposed to do this without a forklift? Let alone putting the old ones in a pallet to ship out ! Between u making our lifts go slower than the floor scrubber these so called safety changes are about the most id--tic changes in the 27 years I have been here ! Maybe home office needs to start working in clubs so they can try to do all this ! Be prepared for a lot more workman’s comp cases since these kinda changes are not safe for the associates !

I don’t want to post this but we’re not getting any answers at the store level. What is the protocol if ICE comes into a store? What do we do if customers get caught in the middle and get hurt? I have customers that ask me almost every day and I don’t know what to say to them.

So now that AP has had all of its powers stripped and the new boss has laid off all of oversight, restructured technology to lay off people, and cut all of the district taskforce teams to replace only some of them with 1 investigator, how do we all think this is going to pan out?

I doubt his desperate attempt to offset the future losses (from his policies) by cost cutting everywhere else will not work. I expect store AP teams to start being cut by end of FY26 to cover for increased theft.

Also, what a great idea to cut technology! Not like 80-90% of the stores are running equipment from the late 90s that barely works or doesn’t work at all. This company loves to talk big about investing in our stores when they haven’t provided a comprehensive investment to safety & security in the last 30 years.

Sympathy goes out to this worker and family who has passed working for CVE. I guess all the safety programs and COIMS ect could not save him.

Police say a man fired shots after an altercation with a security guard outside a Corktown bar early Saturday morning. The incident happened at around 1:17 a.m. in the 2100 block of Trumbull Avenue near Michigan Avenue. The security guard, a licensed CPL holder, returned fire and struck the man.

Why are we not hearing about this from CVX health & medical, particularly since there is so much travel to and from India in our employee and contractor population?

What is the company doing about curtailing or cancelling altogether travel? This is how it started with the previous pandemic, and this virus has a very high mortality rate.
