Noise Regarding RTO Policy Enforcement

I feel like there's been a lot of rumors going on here and within the office about what is going on right now. Although this is a failure on HR, lets look at the facts: Year 1: HR flagged people who were coming in less than one day a week (swipe... — read more

Icky feeling

Social media has many stories of patients being denied medications or treatments. Doctors post about having to fight insurances for tests, procedures, or medications. Most of the people working for these insurances want to do good jobs. We want to... — read more

Morale At An All-Time Low!

I wake up at 2 AM shaking and sweating, dreading the day ahead! The two days WFH are a blessing compared to dragging my ar-e in for that two-hour commute to He-l Town. And that damn Teams! Every morning, that red dot! What's wrong now?

Layoffs??

Soooo is it just the rumour mill or are we seriously having layoffs next year? I know that our department has had budget cuts and there have been no promotions this year, but should management gear up for layoffs? I say management because... — read more

Question about Houston office

I heard hscs opened a big Houston office but I see most job postings are for Chicago/Richardson. How flexible is the company in allowing you to work in a different office?

True lay off

Not including a handful of IT, the recent leadership rearrangement or Cigna folks that didn’t met HCSC requirements for rehire, has anyone actually been laid off?

Forced to celebrate the Cigna acquisition

Anyone else feel like we are being forced to celebrate the acquisition when it comes with strife, low morale, hiring freezes, rumors of RIFs. Etc etc. Even the Cigna folks would rather not be here. Who sold them this con? Trump?

Boycott the surveys!!!

I've been with the company for 15 years and I don't recognize HCSC anymore. We need to put the power back in our hands. They trot out these surveys to give us the illusion of involvement, to make us feel like we have a say, but it's just a way for... — read more

Have you heard of coffee badging?

All managers received an email today from the laughably-named “Ethics” department, reminding us that actual productivity is secondary to butt-in-seat time, because Momo has promised the Chicago politicos that he’ll fill up his beautiful building with... — read more

Retail LOB layoffs due to One Big Beautiful Bill?

Since the GOP's OBBB is stopping ACA subsidies, BCBSIL submitted a 27% rate hike for 2026 and BCBSTX submitted a 21% rate hike for 2026... do we have any details on the impact to staff reduction in the retail-supporting areas?

PMO Org

What’s happening? Layoffs??? New leaders moved???

Layoff Looming?

I think we all can see there is a certain line of business, Medicare based roles, that are being filled, and other areas are unable to fill positions left open for months, and longer. The company has made/is making changes that make me think they’re... — read more

Some getting promoted

Anyone else seeing the repeating pattern? We cannot backfill. We are told hiring is frozen but we see that it isn’t, because some people are being promoted who have no business doing so. Some people have busted a gut on major projects that succeeded... — read more

We always end up with more work and less appreciation

Every reorg means fewer people doing more, while more higher-ups show up just to bark orders. Every single time - no exception. It’s been a steady downhill slide for years, and somehow they still act surprised when morale hits rock bottom.

Top Heavy

I do not understand the value of some roles in IT like PLTLs and ESLs. They just pretend to manage a bunch of managers on their own and provide no real value besides throwing their weight around. Seems like, every time there is a reorg, they create... — read more

New Mexico and Texas disasters

We have had two recent major disasters both in Texas and in New Mexico, and the company is completely silent about this. We have become absolutely heartless greedy monsters.

HealthSpring

And there you go… your national ‘rebranding’ of the Cigna people and products.

New brand

Well that was anticlimactic. The new brand launch we’ve been waiting for was just an unused trademark we picked up in the Cigna deal, with a new font and some hilarious stock photography.
