ATT. No Innovation, No Talent, No Vision

Horrible Workplace.
Exec Management Openly Despises it's employee base.
Lunatic for CEO who is Hammer/Nail pounder from bygone era.
Horrible investment.
Missed the boat on so many things and got taken to the cleaners by countless players and then ridiculed by anyone with a smidge of business sense.
Think about what could have been but the SBC ATT leadership culture and their hubris couldn't get past hammer/nail mentality.

If you ever had any doubt about just how much you are valued here….

Understand that them moving the dates around at their discretion is quite the biggest indicator that they care nothing about you or your family. It’s a for profit business and I get that. But don’t patronize me with all the CenTeam stuff. It’s a lie and we all know it. Give me my agreed upon severance package and let’s part ways before I detest this company any more than I already do.

Meeting Hero/ Work Zero Coworker

I need advice on how to deal with a certain type of coworker. There’s a guy on my team who talks a lot in meetings and always volunteers easy solutions to every problem that comes up. But after the meeting, he’s nowhere to be found. None of his “solutions” actually materialize, and there’s no real follow-through on anything he says. It seems he’s 100% focused on creating the perception that he’s the solution guy, the smartest one in the room, the one who has it handled, but in practice he’s not even close to that. Basically, he’s a meeting hero / work zero. The frustrating part is that management hears him in these meetings and happily believes he’s actually taking care of things, masterminding solutions for everyone, while doing absolutely nothing when management is not in room. Has anyone else worked with someone like this? How do you deal with all the showboating without getting irritated? Has anyone seen these types ever get the karmic justice they deserve or do they just keep getting away with it forever.

Laid off from nike a few months ago. the layoff wasn’t even the part that hurt

I actually believed the “nike family” thing. treated coworkers like friend not just people i clocked in with..that’s on me for being naive i guess but the people who still have jobs there? spineless. i sat next to these people for years covered for them more times than i can count. the second i got laid off i became invisible. No “hey that su-ks.” just silence, one text is all it would have taken

During my last few weeks all anyone wanted was KT. drain everything useful out of me then go quiet the moment h i’m not needed anymore. Tried reaching out for referrals after people i’d helped before. suddenly everyone’s “already used up their referrals.” people still there just saw my messages on linkedin and said nothing not even a polite no

Funny how the ones who actually had a soul already left that company on their own. the ones still sitting in those seats are just the ones who don’t mind stepping over people to stay comfortable

Again not mad about the layoff i’m done pretending the people who stayed behind are good people. they’re not. they just haven’t been laid off yet..

Open office a place holder for final re-organization?

Like many I am very frustrated by the hunt for a landing spot every morning, and all the noise and confusion that goes with it. Will we get offices again after the reorganization is finalized. That is, is this $hit$how just a holding pattern or is it really the permante new normal? Not sure I can live with this long term.

Uncon. Run by the best leadership

Proud to be in Uncon. Working for the best, corrupt, useless leadership. All they care about is posting in LinkedIn how great they are. Seeing supervisors and managements treat their people like slaves day in / day out and wait for the ranking results … We all know a supervisor or manager; they really don’t do a sht daily. They look busy.

Opinions on BP Wells LS and LJP as leaders

You get to determine the direction and fate of bp wells just you brilliantly did with the minister of people and culture. These two managers come with skill sets, challenges, and positive and negative attributes. How will Wells perform moving forward. The more you share the more the needle moves…sounds weird but it’s true

The Wells Invasion

I’d like to get everyone’s thoughts on Wells Fargo leaders that are taking over in technology. Starting with Steve Hagerman down as old BB&T and SunTrust leaders are pushed out they’re being replaced by folks from Wells Fargo. They keep hiring their friends from Wells for HUGE money and most of them are getting exceptions to work remotely even they are enforcing the policy that all new hires need to be in a Truist office. They seem quite toxic leading by fear and are turning our culture into the terrible culture they created and left behind at Wells.

Is there anything stupider than "unwavering in care"?

Bank marketing doesn't really lend itself to creativity, but how bad is "unwavering in care"? How can you be sure, potential customer? Because we said so ourselves! Take our word for it in these paid advertisements, just please don't ask any current customers! (Or, for that matter, employees. They are leaving like rats off a sinking ship. Truist couldn't even find an internal candidate to be the next CEO, SMH.)

The only thing worse may be those id--tic television ads with the dudes playing golf. (Banks: please stop with the golf, you are not differentiating yourself from other banks; in fact, the opposite is happening.) Angled golf club shafts, kooky! People will love that! Did a human being actually think of this or have they just turned everything over to AI at this point? Truly, the only smart marketing move Truist ever made was naming rights for the Braves stadium, so let's give credit where it's due. Everything after that has been an insult to viewers -- and investors.

Verizon Independence!

There’s no better way to celebrate independence than at Verizon, a great American country that has granted independence to thousands of employees! From our former CEO, former President of Consumer Group, former CHRO, former Chief Communications officer, former President of GN&T, 2 former Presidents of VGS, 5k VSP takers, and 13k and counting riffed Vteamers - there’s no shortage of independence from Verizon to celebrate. We are a winning team, and I’m honored to follow such great leadership that powers and empowers the way we work, live and play as we play to win. Simple matters! Better matters! And we are truly the best. The results speak for themselves. Verizon is the very best of America. Proud to be VZ!

Randall’s ear to ear grin

Why is that whenever I search for Randal Stephenson he has an ear to ear grin? He has a very big smile and laugh for someone who cost the company over $100 billion. Maybe he lives a very comfortable life after making nearly millions in executive compensation. It makes me just sick inside whenever I see a picture of him. I don’t mind the massive business blunders but just don’t be walking around with the cheekiest grin.

The Secret Reason Bosses Want Everyone Back in the Office, Every Day of the Week

Long story short: Narcissism

So tired of this cr-p

I remember when this place actually felt good to be at, but that was before a certain (leaving this vague for a reason) group got hired in one big batch and shifted the whole dynamic. They built their own little group, pushed out the old guard, and now it is all gossip and maneuvering instead of just getting things done. I have been here around seventeen years and at this point I just want to do my job and go home without worrying about who is talking about who or what game is being played next.

This is interesting

I’m slaving away working my four carts. Trying to get it all put out fast so me CPH will be high and I won’t go over me time….IMPOSSIBLE!!!
Sweat rolling off my face.
Then I see this ONE cart that three Walmart people are working on… they each pick up one case at a time walk down the aisle where it goes they come back and they chat, giggle take a few minutes. Take a few more minutes. They’re having a good ole time.
I’m thinking WHAT!!.. In my brain. Guess I took a moment too (Giggle)
Sweat still rolling down me face as I have to get back on the hamster wheel.
Just thought I would share that.

Executive Management Layers

How many layers of executive management exist between the CFO and a person who actually does some work? I'm looking at an example now that shows 5 layers, all based in Houston, all execs and none actually doing anything other than talking about other folks work. It's embarrassing to see the greed given the pain they're causing the rest of the organisation. Too many snouts in the trough and it needs to stop.

So now the rumor mill was No Eisp for field now it’s Eisp for entire Titles to get rid of all groups and make 1 universal Trch

So what exactly is going on big giant Eisp for all then for some. Then no Eisp everyone does everyone’s job.Now it’s entire groups titles get surpluses so they can eliminate your title and if you don’t go you become a universal tech.Sorry but they purposely wrote the contract in languages no one would understand with fine printer can’t see possibly invisible!!And I vote No every time to extensions for this reason you can’t tell who sold you out .One giant secret as always the Union can at any time spill some beans but nope fk this place .This prison sentences I committed myself to is almost over

Don't Believe the Hype

This extension isn't for you, this mass exodus just didn't fit their timeline. My guess is there will be a lot of rah-rah bullsh-t next week, and guilt tripping.

Do what's best for you, not the shareholders. Project Simplify isn't over, they just want you to forget about it right now.
