Tracking Typing and Mouse Clicks

So we were informed that we need to have 7 hours of steady typing, mouse clicks and phone per day. After removing allotted lunch/breaks, that is 100% of time chained to a desk? So we are forced to drive hours to sit in an open plan sweatshop just to continuously type and click? Wasn't the "purpose" of forcing everyone into an office for COLLABORATION? Why does WF hate their employees?

IT LT+1

It goes without saying that LC has lost the whole function. Only 10% of the 150 or so people responded to his survey. Hardly anybody shows up to his in person townhalls so they’re just all virtual.

I just browsed around that list and also noticed that CS is now a GM for his EPMO work. It’s truly amazing the level of talent that has completely fell off the cliff. There are so many new GM and directors now, while the worker bees are shipped off to ENGINE and MSSC. There’s nobody to manage here.

If I compare the days of ITSD (JG RIP, RS, the lady LC) - the knowledge of actual IT versus who we have in KG for ITOF is night and day. We have decided to overpay incompetent IT people while pushing out people who actually knew technology.

And don’t get me started on platform GMs. SB as a subsurface GM was certainly not on anybody’s bingo card.

Just burn it all down.

Seeing a shiiiitload of LinkedIn retirements/ Surpluses

Quickly losing track of how many LinkedIn posts from now ex-AT&T employees across the board, Retirement or Surplus layoffs. One thing the company will find out soon is how Morale will plummet even Further once the remaining survivors are in a constant state of uncertainty, apathy, disengagement, quiet quitting and throwing each other under the bus to stay on payroll. Just look at other companies that have already done massive cuts and are at historically low morale among employees. Newer employees that can leave will already be eyeing the Exit to get out on their own terms and the older employees will be stuck praying for a buyout— but all will feel like they are next on the chopping block. Good luck getting employees to give a F#CK about the company when they already feel that they are inevitably up next. As more employees lose faith in the future of the company you will also see a wave of Executives sprinting towards the exits cashing out their Stocks, not IF but when…. AT&T is circling down the toilet bowl 💩 🚽

Organizational Thrash™

Anyone else feel like we’re no longer transforming the business, we’re transforming the transformation?

New LOB leaders. New-old CTO. CDO gone. Buyouts. New operating model. Morale in hospice.

At this point, the org chart has changed more often than the stock price.

But don’t worry. Reorg #7 is definitely the one.

About time to clean out remnants of SW wrecking ball crew

Fiserv cannot afford to keep ineffective, incompetent, inexperienced VPs! Waste of $$$$. They warm their seats, collect a nice salary and add no value. Their staff runs the ship without them - why keep them?? Their resume speaks for themselves - no real leadership or industry experience or knowledge and they don’t care about us or our clients! Someone explain WHY in the heck they get to take advantage of Fiserv?! We are dying here! Someone take responsibility!!! Let’s win back our reputation!

Work feels

I don’t want to do any work, clearly why should we work when Sarah doesn’t give a damn about anyone but greedy self.
Sarah is a character she talks about the struggles of her mother and what she did for her on LinkedIn for Mother’s Day. Than she does this. Come on do better and stop being fake.

Medtronic Corp dev has to be the d-mbest group in the world

Is anyone fed up with the rampant stupidity of this group? Forget diligence because that would mean they would need to actually work but what loser approved cerevasc? That company is a scam and these mo--ns in corp dev are clueless who keep repeating the same old tricks again and again to drive the company into the ground

Morale shot to he-l!

I do not understand why this company would choose to send every department into a tailspin of nerves and anxiety for the next 2 months. Morale is completely gone and employees are paralyzed with fear. Who is actually working at this point? No one cares because we all know we may be next. Not to mention earning back the trust of employees after a stunt like this! Are YOU working or are you sitting in front of your computer shell shocked and unable to put one foot in front of the other? I feel that's like the spot most employees are in. Has anyone heard of any departments at this point that just might be ok? Are your people leaders saying anything?

200 Jobs Lost To India

Bone crushing blow. Mutual of America is laying off over 200 employees over the next 15 months and shipping the jobs to India. A fleecing of America. An American company selling out. A giant suc-king sound. Morale is rock bottom. Mental Health counselors are on high alert. People are crushed. Devastated. Company can't find ways to raise revenue. Has to resort to cuts only. Accenture benefits. Mutual is now double paying: FIS ($8M) + Accenture ($~18M). Just think, the old system only only costs $8M per year. Now, they pay tripplethat

Morale at Verizon

As for talk that morale is low among Verizon employees right now, Entner quoted former Verizon CEO Denny Strigl, saying “happy people don’t make numbers. Numbers make happy people.”

Back in the Strigl days, “this was a carrier that was kicking a-s and taking names. It was winning,” he said. Over the past several years under former CEO Hans Vestberg, “they got kicked around, and morale in a company that is losing accounts and market share is not a happy place.”

Soon into his tenure, Schulman announced a massive lay-off of more than 13,000 workers and he’s been candid about how AI is going to replace workers.

Naturally, morale is low, Entner said.

“When Verizon turns around, gains subscribers, gains accounts and wins, morale will soar,” he said.

Circling back to Clark, she said the latest price and loyalty plans are just the beginning. Since Schulman took over as CEO in October, they’ve been centered on putting the customer first.

The company

It’s a sad state of affairs at all levels unless you’re on the EC, then it’s all working out amazingly. In the past 60 days we’ve lost talent that dedicated multi decades of hard work to the firm. Strong minded, intelligent people that really contributed to shared goals every day. Up to the time when shared goals became a blur of corporate kool aid, McKinsey projects, revolving door of leadership. Never did I think it would come to this but I’m at the end of my pain tolerance. Very sad. Is Wealth growing or shrinking? Can margins grow out of the bottom gutter? Is Jose doing anything to make change besides firing, hiring, cashing checks, selling shares? So sad. The range of firings has been like a sn---r attack in a classroom. Best to dress like the plebes or be targeted. Last thought - does RV look unhealthy to any of you??

I don’t care about your KPIs, the company’s goals, or the team’s goals.

I think I speak for a lot of people when I say this: I do not give a fu-k about my 9-to-5 job. I don’t care about your KPIs, the company’s goals, or the team’s goals. I don’t give a fu-k about my coworkers, and I don’t give a sh-t about my boss. I don’t care how some director or VP feels about themselves, the team, or the company. I couldn’t care less about any of that.

The only thing I care about is how much money you’re paying me and how much bullsh-t I have to deal with to earn it. I don’t want drama. I don’t want politics. I don’t want unnecessary headaches. I want to do my job, get paid, and go home.

Over the years, I’ve had bosses and executives come to me talking about KPIs, metrics, performance targets, and company objectives. They act like it’s the most important thing in the world. Meanwhile, in my head, I’m just thinking, “Yeah, sure. I don’t give a fu-k.”

If we hit our KPIs, what does that actually mean for me? Am I getting a significant raise? Am I getting a bonus? Is my life improving in any meaningful way? If not, then why should I care? I don’t give a sh-t about what it means for management or what it means for the company. I care about what it means for me.

Unfortunately, when we’re at work, most of us have to pretend we care about those things. We nod along, smile, and act engaged because that’s part of the game. But the reality is that for most people, work is a transaction. We exchange our time and effort for a paycheck.

I think for 95% of employees, that’s the truth. They’re not there because they’re deeply passionate about quarterly targets or corporate strategy. They’re there to make a living. Everything else is just background noise.

You've got to be kidding me

In an internal memo to employees on Friday, Zuckerberg attempted to lift their spirits in what appears to be a notable failure to read the room. Specifically, the billionaire promised to host a companywide AI hackathon in July — only to get brutally shut down by workers who were in no mood for such a thing.

Nothing will change

It's amusing reading all this speculation when we all know deep down that nothing will change. The same thing that always happens will happen again. We'll see more layoffs, more outsourcing, more "do more with less" rhetoric, and more of the same for employees. Nobody gives a damn about us or improving our situation, least of all any CEO.

Mark Zuckerberg Orders His Employees to Start Having Fun Again After Brutal Layoffs Culled Their Colleagues

Funny, T-Mobile just did a hackathon... wonder how employee spirits were

Morale at Meta has seemingly hit rock bottom.

Employees have been roiling from multiple rounds of major layoffs. Last month alone, the Mark Zuckerberg-led company laid off a whopping 8,000 workers, roughly ten percent of its workforce, as part of its chaotic refocusing efforts around AI.

Many of those who remain are now forced to perform the grunt work to train AI models, weekly busywork that's already driving some of them up the wall, as Wired reports.

In an internal memo to employees on Friday, Zuckerberg attempted to lift their spirits in what appears to be a notable failure to read the room. Specifically, the billionaire promised to host a companywide AI hackathon in July — only to get brutally shut down by workers who were in no mood for such a thing.

Meta has regularly hosted hackathons in the past, but given last month's layoff announcement, the reception was extremely chilly.

"I'm literally preoccupied with keeping the lights on for my team," one employee wrote in an internal message quoted by Wired. "I have no incentive to participate, let alone have the time to do so."

"I'm not sure that this company supports a hackathon culture anymore," another employee added, pointing out that "people are being asked to cover more work with less support while their colleagues get laid off."

"I've participated in previous hackathons, but this no longer feels like an option alongside pod sprints in my corner of the company," one worker wrote.

Zuckerberg offered employees access to permanent desks, a symbolic gesture that unintentionally illustrated how expendable many of them had become. Many employees at Meta have been working from "hot desks," a controversial scheme involving multiple workers sharing the same desks.

For all its employees' pain and suffering, Meta has surprisingly little to show. The company continues to trip over its own feet, struggling to release impressive new AI models as its competitors pull ahead further in the ongoing AI race.

In his memo, Zuckerberg predicted that even more difficult days could be ahead for the company, despite vowing to hold off on any future layoffs for the rest of the year.

"Given the complexity of these changes, we've made mistakes and will almost certainly make more," he admitted.

Dang man - VSP

This is honestly hilarious, Centene can not even fire us correctly...
The website wont give verification codes.
We are in the dark for hours, Cryptic emails.
Every leader is radio flipping silent.

For a company I loved to work for and with, this is ridiculous from the chiefs of the company.

Company and Executives give me zero reasons to care

I just do enough in log in the hours and collect a paycheck. The place is the walking dead. Nobody cares. Stankey just doesn't remotely come close to having that It factor that you would get behind and do battle for. Most would give him a giant shove into the line of fire.

Word is getting out!

I had a dr appt yesterday. He asked who I work for and how it’s going. I said EDJ and that it’s not what it used to be and is getting progressively worse. He said he’s actually heard that from several patients lately.

So, word is getting out in the community! I figured it must be given the FA losses, and nna and auc missing goals by a long shot, but this was interesting anecdotal evidence!

Company brags on profits, doesn't take care of employees

I'm sorry but how can a company brag on how profitable they are and do nothing for their employees but give them headaches with constant restructures and change indirection including incompetent management.
Tom Wilson touts inventors winning $5,000. What does that mean for the other employees? What a joke! This is not motivating. Been with the company over 15 years so sad to see the decline.

No recognition

I have recently been in my position 20 years. Know what I got for it? A hat? NO A pen? NO A nice email of congratulations? Nope. Nothing, nada, zilch. That's how everyone should know that OT is in such bad financial shape that they cannot properly recognize service. I mean, how broke do we have to be that I can't even get some stupid points to buy some $50 piece of cr-p item? And if it's not being broke but just being total pieces of cr-p unwilling to honor loyal service over the years, that's worse....maybe it's because I came from an acquisition? Oh wait, we all did....

This isn't working

When RTO was first announced, I thought I’d adjust after a while. That hasn’t really happened, and not just for me. A lot of people seem quieter, more frustrated, and less connected than before.

I’m in my early forties, and I’ve worked in enough places to know when the energy has shifted. This is one of those times. I don’t hate the job itself, but the current setup has made it much harder to stay motivated.

I’ve been browsing remote openings for the past couple of months. I’d rather find something that gives me a little more control over my day and doesn’t make work feel like such a drain.
