Better watch out …..

The goal to let people go is a different feel now they will look for every little reason to fire someone and to make sure the severance cost plummets so make sure you hit your goals office expectations etc yes I know this is old news but it isn’t because it is a real goal so look for more firings in 2026

It’s over

When an employee hits the report I get for being in the office for 7hrs and 15 mins, it’s time to be worried. They obviously don’t want to pay severance in 2026. Sorry to be the bearer of this news but watch yourself, it’s about to get turbulent

Top 4 Executives Receive Compensation Agreements through 2029

So apparently the top 4 execs have received extensions of compensation agreements that would pay them through 2029 in the event of separation or acquisition, yet everybody else is being offered what? Three Months? Nothing to see here, move on. Remember we're an *All Weather Team". https://www.tipranks.com/news/company-announcements/cdw-expands-credit-facility-and-renews-executive-protections

Severance pay timeline

First, I asked my supervisor and HR and no clear answer so I am asking here as many of you got severance. Does the payment come on normal pay cycle (6th, 21st), I was surplused in November and no check yet, I got denied unemployment because Company listed I got severance but nothing yet, bad time of year to have no pay, severance would help, job searching tough. Appreciate any input

Future Plans

In contemplating my future after being laid off from EJ, relying on a small severance and my depleting savings, I can see how people do something to go to prison. They will have shelter, food, daily exercise, health insurance, no utility or car payments and, I can study for a degree - even a law degree - without incurring any debt. Maybe not a bad gig....I'll have PP and DC to thank for this opportunity!

I still remember a time when I felt good about going to work

Yes, I’m that old. And it hasn’t been fun going through all the stages of things falling apart, only to reach a point where I can’t wait to cut ties. I hope that during the next wave someone notices that I’m over 50, therefore a zombie by current corporate standards, and finally puts me out of my misery. I’m not leaving without severance. I’ve earned it many times over the years.

WARN for you future hybrid RIFs

I asked HR some detailed questions about how WARN was applied for hybrid employees. They said remote locations didn’t meet the threshold, so they only provided 30 vs 60 days. I didn’t agree with how they explained it, but that was their final position. One thing I’d say is if you’re affected in a future RIF, don’t rush to sign anything. Ask how your work site was defined and how employees were counted, especially if you’re hybrid or remote. The lawyers do this by design. Severance is structured to neutralize WARN leverage. The release explicitly waives WARN and that’s intentional. If you’re hybrid or remote, WARN isn’t just about where you sit it’s about where you’re managed, assigned and counted.

Rest, recharge , reset… whoooo hooo!

Don’t you feel electrified by this message of Robin love? Is anyone really going to come out of this totally refreshed and ready? Do tell please.
I for one, don’t see any rest or recharge. I am going to be handholding offshore and dealing with direct client issues. I welcome being let go as long as I get full severence. And that isn’t likely. I think veterans of this place are going to be jipped on this. My manager even told me the aboves are looking to limit or stop payouts on more than 50% of those people targeted.

Final 4 week severance check is less than my usual checks

Was part of the layoff and got the minimum 4 weeks severance. My final paycheck was today but it was a few hundred short than usual. With my understanding I thought 4 weeks severance meant 2 full pay periods.

Am I misunderstanding? This is how I had it in my notes:

Separation date is 11/12 and severance kicks in 11/13.

(I get early direct deposit 1 day early)

  • Paycheck 11/5/25 - for pay period 10/20 - 11/2
  • Paycheck 11/10/25 - for pay period 11/3 - 11/16, received this one early due final paycheck local regulations
  • Paycheck 12/3/25 - for pay period 11/17 - 11/30, first 2 weeks of severance
  • Paycheck 12/17/25 today - for pay period 12/1 - 12/14, last 2 weeks of severance

Member and provider medicare medicaid

I’d really like to hear your thoughts about our situation in this department. It’s important to me that we’re honest with each other. Do you think it would be better for us to move on as soon as we secure another job, or should we hold out for severance? I value your perspective.

Coralville, Iowa --- Cuts @ Integrated DNA Technologies (IDT)

Coralville, Iowa, at Integrated DNA Technologies (IDT)

  • Iowa WARN released an update with new state data about the layoffs at IDT
  • The state data says 61 people were laid off in Coralville
  • Iowa WARN indicates workers were both notified and laid off on December 12, 2025
  • The layoffs were initially reported the prior week, and this story reflects the state update
  • IDT describes its work as focused on gene research and DNA testing
  • IDT previously said 4.7 percent of its Iowa workforce was affected
  • The company’s global headquarters is in Coralville
  • A spokesperson said the company is restructuring parts of the business and refocusing resources to support long term objectives and future growth
  • IDT said affected workers are being given severance and support packages and noted its collaborations with global health and scientific partners

I wish it was me

I'm honestly low-key sad I wasn't laid off. I don't relish not having a job, but I look forward even less to staying here and having to deal with this company's cr-p and more never-ending cuts. I swear, layoffs sound like a better option. At least I'd have severance and a decent chance at a better job.

Severance

I called the folks handling the severance payout to ask how the severance would be distributed, one lump sum with last paycheck or seperate checks. They said seperate checks but severance is hitting 30 days after your last check. Has anyone else affected by the rif heard the same?

Is it true T 2025 Severance is changing with a Tiered System (1 Month Lev 1 Mgr ?)

Past Severance Patterns
AT&T's severance offerings have varied based on employee classification, years of service, and location. Here's what the data shows:

Management Employees (Non-Bargained)
Standard Package: Previously capped at six months of pay, with two weeks per year worked
2025 Changes: New tiered system offering one month salary for Level 1 managers, with an additional month per level
