First time this has happened, in the middle of the week. Is this something to be concerned over, considering there are no active layoffs currently?

I'm prepared for lots of bad news, but we'll see.

And nobody should be flippant about it. We all have very good reasons to be anxious.

The grass is always greener on the other side. Those of you still employed at this soul succubus better enjoy the paycheck while it comes because this job market is a dumpster fire from he-l. This is not the market of 5 years ago. If you haven’t been in it, you have no idea what you’re up against at the moment.

They indirectly announced layoffs, and eventually it will. Why to rush and go into legal problems. They will announce results and after all calculation and potential legal issues, they will do layoff. May be it can take couple of weeks.

SAVE YOUR MONEY! STAGFLATION - High Oil Prices, AI taking over jobs, Layoffs will occur earlier than later. Corporations will feel the pain with increase in inflation. Markets will decline for months. Just because the war stops doesn't mean things get back to normal right away. It will take years to recover and go back to normal. USA debt increases from $38 Trillion to $40 Trillion soon.

I'm hoping somebody knows more about it. Hopefully, it's not true, but I've herd it from several different sources and some are not the usual gossips, so I'm starting to worry.

So much hangs in the air. It's all driving me insane.

Does anyone else worry constantly that today could be the day? I can't shake the feeling that my position might just disappear. How do you cope with that?

Saw it here and heard from a few people, though none exactly plugged into decision-making. If anyone has something solid, please share.

We get a schedule every six months but nobody ever says it’s set in stone, so the bosses can change stuff whenever they feel like it. That makes it really hard to know what to work on or even plan anything outside of work. The “perks” and rules keep getting moved around too, and it just feels like nothing is solid. I think we need a clear time slot that stays the same and a simple way to tell us when things actually change.

When will the next action take place and what will it be?

Will there be a lot more reorgs this year?

Will future severance payouts be impacted? Will it be less?

That would be the only good thing about it.

I prefer when there are rumors going around than the complete quiet on layoffs. Makes me think we're about to be hit by a major storm. I hope I'm wrong, but with everything happening in the entire industry, I wouldn't be surprised if major cost cutting is in our near future.

Does anyone have any genuine insights into whether or not the second round of layoffs will still be happening soon? Or could they be on hold for now until the WB merger is finalised? Doesn’t look like convergence will be ready as planned either.

I was talking to a friend the other day and he said he always knows layoffs are coming at his company because managers basically go missing for weeks and routine meetings get canceled. Do we have something that? Has anybody noticed any similar or different clear signs layoffs are coming at Verizon?

Nothing going on where I am. Based on the little info trickling in, seems like quiet layoffs this time. Not minimizing how awful it is for anyone impacted, just saying this round feels completely different from the last ones.
