So are we just pretending the cuts are done???? End of May???? June???

Hearing from a few people that another round may hit by EOM ( May) or sometime in June... word going arund is bottom 10% and retirements could be part of it. Sounds like calibration season all over again.

Business transformation was supposedly the big reset, but now people are saying more org changes and headcount reductions are still coming.

Anyone else hearing this in IT, Finance, Commercial, HR, or the plants?

Feels like management already knows more than they are saying. Same pattern as last time. Silence for months, then sudden announcements.

Where is Fios Executive Leadership

Over 25+ years building the superior fiber broadband residential network. Engineering A+. Yet in MDUs and SFUs Vz has less than 50% of broadband customers.

Based on observation... same tired marketing tactics being used today as when first rolled out. This is a direct failure of VPs and Directors in those MDU and SFU organizations.

Much talent has left and listening to remaining Marketing/Sales Directors in the MDU/SFU space its obvious waisted CapEx remains.

Time for Dan to inject new blood and support Engineering build.

When Leadership Stays Silent, This Forum Becomes the Only Truth Source

Posts on this site are personal reactions to what BNY employees are actually living through.

The feedback here is about executive leadership’s silence around McKinsey‑driven cost restructuring, real‑estate closures and consolidations, RTO used as a filtering mechanism, and a culture that’s become increasingly toxic and opaque. People aren’t imagining this; they’re documenting it in real-time.

When raises and bonuses are insignificant, when communication is intentionally vague, and when “efficiency” becomes a euphemism for unannounced layoffs, employees are going to talk — especially when leadership won’t. That’s why this forum looks the way it does. It’s not about traffic or ad revenue. It’s because BNY associates have nowhere else to get honest information about what’s happening behind the curtain.

If leadership communicated transparently, this board wouldn’t have to do the job for them.

Tech

Kind of eerie how slack has gone silent, meetings are canceling, parking lot is sparse and there is no work going on.
I would think it wasn’t a great idea for the new tech leaders to announce layoffs 2 months ago with no timeframe or updates since. That type of blunder alone that caused such low work output should put them on the chopping block.

Yes yes to those of you working 80 hours a week, you’re amazing. We see you. You matter.

Is the Silence a Sign of Upcoming Layoffs?

For those who are connected with upper-level management, should we expect layoffs soon?

Things feel unusually quiet lately. It’s hard to tell whether it’s just a normal cycle or something else, but the silence feels a bit unsettling.

Not trying to spread rumors...just looking for perspective if anyone has insights.

No point in trying too hard at this point

I'm curious what my raise will be this year considering that my group was moved to a director who has been MIA for the last year - minus his 5-7 minute 1x1s with everyone. No clue what we actually do, no idea what each individual does. The only info he gets is from our previous manager - our PM now - and I suppose and hope new manager dictates raises based off of old manager...

Not expecting anything great but hoping for a 4% lmfao. LIkely it'll be a meaningless 3.2 but I guess that'll offset some taxes...

I mean, what's the actual point in being a hard worker if your manager is never around, promotions are MIA and ultimately primarily given to those outside the USA? Or the fact that raises aren't even above inflation rates?

I love my job but cmon, I might as well do the bare minimum if promotions are essentially impossible to get and raises are laughable lol.

Are company and union still talking?

According to an email sent in December. They were set to talk this month. Did they? Are they still? I don't understand why the complete silence all the time by the company and the union. I can see why they wouldn't give specific details while negotiating but they could at least give us the most general description of the current situation, right?
