Are company and union still talking?

According to an email sent in December. They were set to talk this month. Did they? Are they still? I don't understand why the complete silence all the time by the company and the union. I can see why they wouldn't give specific details while negotiating but they could at least give us the most general description of the current situation, right?

Isn’t it funny how quiet it is about bonuses?

By this point we’re usually given at least a target or some directional guidance. Instead, nothing. Total silence. That’s not an accident, it’s deliberate. When leadership stops communicating, it’s usually because the message would land badly. Something’s clearly being set up behind the scenes, and employees are the ones being left in the dark yet again.

For Pete’s sake, retire!

I know it’s easy to point fingers when things are not going well but where was our fearless leader 2025?

While the ship was sinking in 2025, he was no where to be found.

From the start, he took care of all his friends regardless of whether they had the experience or not to work the position.

This is the same guy who told us nothing would change when we were transitioned over to CUSA other than our email. He said it would be a good move for the company to help align support. Can anyone still employed at Canon USA (formerly CSA) say things have improved with the transition?

When he felt intimidated, he created useless buffers by promoting his old friends from Chicago. When he felt people were pushing him out he turned up the heat and forced them out.

Anyone could have run this company during the good times. It’s the tough times that show who the true leaders are. It’s safe to say our leader played and hide and go seek for this entire year. Maybe someone should tell him the game is over and it’s time to leave Melville and buy a one way ticket back to Chicago.

Good luck Mason, it’s safe to say you inherited a mess at the hands of your colleague.

This will be a horrible week

I was hoping that whatever happens, it would be done in one day so we can move on. But with how little info we're getting and how slowly things are developing, it seems this will be a week-long affair, at least. I'm not looking forward to all the stress and anxiety one bit.

Just a thought

hink it’s time someone asks the real questions that so many of us on the Medicare/Medicaid Member Services and Provider Services side of UnitedHealth Group are afraid to say out loud.

What is actually going on?
How much longer will any of us have jobs here in the United States?
Why can’t leadership just be transparent with us about the future instead of leaving entire teams in a constant state of uncertainty?

Every day we hear rumors, see teams shrinking, and watch responsibilities shift with no clear explanation. Many of us have built years of our lives around this company, serving members and providers with everything we have. We deserve honesty. We deserve communication. We deserve clarity about what direction this organization is taking and what it means for the people who keep it running.

How many of us are even left in the U.S. doing this work?
And why is it so hard to get straightforward information?

We’re not asking for miracles—just truthful communication and respect for the workforce that shows up every day despite the stress, fear, and unanswered questions.

UnitedHealth Group, we need answers.
We deserve transparency.
And we deserve better than silence.

Where is Sam?

Where is our CHRO when we need her tone deaf and inauthentic posts the most? Culture OS was bragged about and now she’s MIA during the most consequential time in decades? Maybe she’s mad she didn’t get a $4M retention bonus on the backs of thousands of lives ruined like her best buddies. Tough to say, but I am confident AI will guide her in whatever post she does to address us all eventually. And the spineless leadership will all like and repost it.

Has anyone done actual work these past two weeks?

I'm in corporate out of Basking Ridge. The place has been a ghost town. My boss and teammates have all been distant. I am seeing meetings cancelled left and right.

Serious question. When will the "new normal" start for those that make the first cut?

I tried to call ML

I tried to call ML several days today, because he told us to call him if we have any suggestions for the company.

For every and each time, I was directed to a voice mail box, and then was told the mail box was full. I’m not sure how is it possible for us to give any feedback regarding the company?

Please do not delete for the sake of this company. Your sincere dispersant.

So nobody knows anything still?

Hard to believe it’s this tight lipped. It’s like we’re a boat heading to sea. On the horizon we see the big storm bubbling and everyone on the boat is just paddling straight in. Get ready for the waves I guess. Hopefully we actually learn something tomorrow. I find it difficult to believe there’s not one member of leadership that knows what’s going on.

We need transparency

This whole process was never going to be easy, but it could’ve been so much better if leadership had been upfront from the start. Instead, we’re left to guess and speculate because no one at the top wants to say anything concrete. A little honesty and communication would make a world of difference right now.
