In 05/2025 and was just let go. 10 months later. Thank God the family stayed in Georgia. I lived in a rat trap for the past 9 months to save a few bucks and protect against uprooting my entire family. VP kept asking me when's the family moving out? Packing up the car this weekend and heading home. Ingot problems and will have trouble finding something but thank god I didn't put my family through that.

Dallas parking garage elevator
Anyone see the “ATT is He-l” written in sharpie. Cracks me up every time I see it. Also those godda-n elevators are so slow
Where and how we work 9 core hubs
I stumbled across an HR site when looking for surplus information that stated the nine core hubs at AT&T has planned.
Dallas/Plano
Atlanta
El Segundo, California
San Ramon, California
Bothell, Washington
Middleton, New Jersey
Bedminster, New Jersey
Washington DC
St. Louis, Missouri
I was doing a search on the on the one stop site and it was a frequently asked questions about where and how we work.
It also stated the core locations are long-term strategy of where we work.
Also stated that they will be closing locations as a consolidate over the next two years.
Take that info and face value because you know that could change!
Don't believe the hype
John is the ultimate salesman. Let's wait to see how many promises he made in today's video about HQ actually sound true. They make it sound like a Mecca for those in Dallas. I've heard this story before.
Workday - Jobs Hub
I applied tons of Dallas, Florida Market but none was being get updated or not being called. Are these just plain BS posting?
ALLCITY Network hits Philadelphia, Dallas, and Chicago with more layoffs
ALLCITY Network conducted another round of layoffs this week, eliminating newsletter positions across its network and reducing coverage of baseball and hockey in several markets.

Don’t make fun of Plano
For years all I heard was people complaining about the Downtown Dallas HQ office. You guys literally tore it to shreds. And now that we are exiting the Discovery District yall found something new to pick on - Plano. Please leave Plano alone. We should be grateful of the announcement. Plano and Frisco are some of the best suburbs out here.
Dallas or gone
Looks like everything outside is planned to be shut except critical localized people now new office is being built. Notices are going out to Bothell and LA for some groups but not all yet. Seems like the days of anywhere but Dallas is coming to an end.
What will they name the new HQ?
Dallas has Whitacre tower……. What will the new shrine to ourselves be named? I gotta know!!! 1st place gets their own desk for at least a week.
Atlanta offices will be moving to Dallas 2028
Most jobs in Atlanta will be moving to Dallas once they open the new Plano HQ. Some jobs like marketing will be moving much sooner.
Comerica considering possibility of layoffs after merger with Fifth Third Bank OK'd
It's unclear how many employees could be impacted. Before the merger with Cincinnati-based Fifth Third was officially approved, data from Downtown Dallas Inc. showed Comerica as one of 19 Fortune 1000 companies based in Dallas.

Relocation to Dallas/ATL
Did you rent first to get a feel of the neighborhood or did you buy out of state and move?
Relocation to Dallas
Anybody relocated to Dallas with kids in school? How is Richardson for commute?
Do you have to be next to your supervisor?
Jeremy said the next wave is us sitting next in the same office as supervisor otherwise we are fired even if we are in a designated different hub. Heard anything different?
What if we are designated Dallas but supervisor in ATL? Are we sc--wed?
Received a weird letter
Received a letter stating you are not required to relocate at this time but at some point in future your role will be filled in Dallas. Does this mean it is virtual forever or will I be let go at some point?
Anybody in this situation relocated to save your primary job, sell your home, sacrificing your spouse’s job and moved kids to Dallas?
HCSC Innovation Lab Dallas
Is this place still a dumpster fire that creates a lot of work and pushes a lot of paper but doesn’t create any innovation?
Are all roles 5 days in office ?
Discussing a potential offer with a recruiter for a 3 days in office role. It is in Dallas. Can this role eventually become 5 days ? That’s a deal breaker.
Layed off from Vz
Job searcher here! Are any of your departments hiring? I have a MBA from Duke so I should be a preferred candidate for management jobs. I can relocate to Dallas if needed, but preferably would like to work remotely.
Dallas 5 x 8 questions
If Dallas is 5 x 8, how are you managing kids pickup and drop off at schools. Don’t your spouses work or are you having to cut short work? At this time I am thinking ATL is better as it is still 3 x 8
More layoffs
Memphis-based FedEx filed a WARN notice (Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification) in Texas on Nov. 25. According to the notice, FedEx plans to lay off 856 employees at the FedEx Supply Chain Logistics & Electronics facility in Dallas County. The layoff date is Jan. 29, according to the notice.

DMN Layoffs
The Dallas Morning News is in a new wave of layoffs under its new owner.
Staff worry about the impact on local news coverage, it'll be less of it.
Everyone loses here. I guess someone makes moeny too.
Dallas HQ Officially Moving
Heard from a valid source that we officially are moving to the north suburbs at the end of the lease. Deal is signed. Goodbye downtown.
Don't make fun of Dallas yall.
Dallas gives you big-city energy without the chaos: a booming job market, no state income tax, modern high-rise living, elite restaurants, endless shopping, and a huge, diverse social scene. You get clean, well-maintained neighborhoods, wide roads, quick commutes, and easy access to airports that make national travel effortless.
The city blends Southern hospitality with a fast-growing, entrepreneurial vibe, offering major sports teams, arts districts, lakes, and year-round events—while still being far more affordable than NYC, LA, or SF.
It’s a place where you can actually build wealth, enjoy space, and still feel plugged into a major metropolitan lifestyle.
El Segundo Office to Close
I heard from our AVP and SVP today that all of our department’s roles in El Segundo are being made redundant and backfilled to Dallas. So it’s either pack up your bags and join the herd in Downtown Dallas or leave.
Exactly how bad is it down there in Dallas. I hear the commute, parking, and desks are an issue. How does a Fortune 50 company have such major real estate problems?
Looking for talent in dallas area
Hi former non tech but tech adjacent Verizon employee here, left four years ago. Can anyone shed light on what roles were impacted? I'm with an insurance company now and we are looking for talent in dallas area.
So, when is Legg moving to Dallas to be co-located with his boss . . .
since he thinks co-location with the supervisor is so important.
Does anyone ever aspire to live in Dallas?
Growing up I would always hear colleagues in college and my first few jobs talk about their aspirations and dreams. I would always hear something along the lines of: I want to one day move to LA, New York, Seattle, Austin, or Miami. If international, I would hear London, Paris, Dubai. Never once had I ever heard someone mention: I want to one day aspire to move to Dallas.
Younger folks are often more ambitious as they are in the earlier part of their career. I have never once heard one of them mention Dallas being a part of their dream or ambition. Dallas is the place where people who fall short of their aspirations end up and their dreams die.
Downtown Dallas is beautiful
I don’t get all the hate for Downtown Dallas. Our HQ is right in the heart of the city. Literally on some of the first streets built in Dallas itself. There is so much history in this area. We have had many presidents and British royalty visit this street and stay at The Adolphus. Additionally, there is a lot of night life and activities to do that you just don’t get elsewhere. I understand there are some cons like homelessness and paid parking, but yall have a negative filter and just forget about the positives and hold onto the negatives.
ATT is a Vast Wasteland
It will be run out of Dallas and India with very little talent. When things go wrong it will get fixed when it gets fixed. The just figure it out and do 5X more with 2X less will catch up with SBC Nougat Heads who haven't had a visionary thought in decades. The amount of fraud and theft that will originate in India will be immense. Dallas will simply be a giant call center like environment run by metrics and PowerPoints.
Hiring from outside yet surplussing
My AVP team just hired from the outside a month ago and just surplused two others (without performance or attendance issues) -- both in Dallas.
Yes... both surplused employees over 50.
Make it make sense!
Get Your Butts in Dallas
I know our leadership has made poor decisions in the past such as the failed acquisitions and debt accumulation. But, we have now sold our stake in anything we don’t have business being in. We have doubled down on the path forward towards convergency and Wall Street has rewarded as accordingly.
We run a dynamic, customer-focused business tackling difficult problems. That is why we work together, in-person, during common working hours in Dallas. Employees have no control over compensation, designation, or work locations. Those are all at the discretion of our business. As leadership has communicated, If a self-directed work environment is important to you, you will have a difficult time aligning your priorities with that of ours.
Stankey furious over leaks on Atlanta migration
Lenox and Northpoint massive layoffs and transition to Dallas and India contractors. Stankey should be more furious over data leaks of consumer information. Georgia migration set to be complete by Q2 2028 with more aggressive timetable in the works. We all knew this was coming so not sure why Stankey thinks he is in the sly. I mean he did aid TMobile to a massive stock price and give away shareholder wealth of $100B along with Direct TV and Time Warner Synergies. Stankey is synergystic at vaporizing shareholder money.
Quick Q: Has IBM closed the Coppell Office in Dallas (North)
There were rumors earlier this year but I am unsure... Please let me know.
BU Mass Layoffs Going Unreported???
I work in the BU in Dallas and last week we had hundreds of people laid off but I haven’t seen any exact numbers or big news outlets talking about this at all… I feel like this was a very dramatic cut but I’m confused why the media isn’t talking about that and instead they’re talking about the much smaller December layoffs…
More cuts in Texas
- DSTV Inc. - 169 layoffs in Irving tied to State Department visa pre-processing, some may be rehired by USCIS.
- Texas Instruments - 163 layoffs at Dallas plant, 150mm production line closing by April 30.
- Seatrium AmFELS - 91 layoffs in Brownsville as company sells yard for $65 million.
- Urban Alchemy - 99 layoffs in Austin after city ended contract with the nonprofit.
Hurry up and quit to those working in non hub cities
We need to finish this headcount reduction that Stankey wants quicker rather than dragging it out. It’s like peeling a bandage quickly vs peeling it slowly and feeling the pain of arm hairs getting pulled.
Once the headcount is where it needs to be, then there will be less of a focus on a 5 day RTO and we will get the flexible schedule back. It is just the people that are working hard out of non-hub cities - anything outside of Dallas, Atlanta, NJ to be honest - that are holding us back at this point. Either relocate to Dallas, Atlanta, NJ or leave as Stankey is mentioning. Yet yall stay and we all get punished by Stankey for it.
