FIS lost their biggest client: Franklin Templeton Investments Transfer Agent

FIS lost the FT TA contract, their largest which includes Customer Service because they could not successfully provide the kind of service that FT financial professionals and their shareholders were used to receiving. FIS platforms su-k, the rollout of the new websites was equally bad. So many top producing financial professionals moved their business out, that FT is in the process of taking back their TA. It is a sh*tshow of the highest order. Didn't see this mentioned in this thread. Everyone who was moved over to FIS, will now have to try to get their jobs back at FT. The legacy FT employees did not cause this, but they have to live with the consequences which includes layoffs in May of 2026, if not sooner. Will the shareholders at both locations notice? Which line items on the budges will reflect this total failure? How will FIS sell this one?

Maurice needs to resign honorably!

Many have commented about Maurice failing as a leader. Like a coach who losses games YOU get fired NOT the team! He needs to watch Xmas vacation on how he affects many who trully care about their work and don't have the luxury of $40,000,000 + per year paid to fail!
Maurice do what Japenese leaders do and cut your salary and costs or resign before Many suffer from your failures that are innocent!!!

Verizon Set Backs and AI 2025

Another Verizon setback is on the horizon. Cuts are being made without collaboration with leadership that is directly involved in the work. Not the slightest idea of who does what and their job function. Dan starts his vision by taking 10 steps back, and it will take many years to get back to where we are at the moment. While AI is the future, it often produces inaccurate results and information that is not even relevant to the data sets it has been instructed to review, summarize, and recommend. Can't wait to witness the lawsuits and chaos it produces.Well deserved to the leadership that is blind to the way systems and technologies are currently working!

Time to Sell IBM

IBM has become such a dysfunctional relic that the most merciful thing left is for the company to sell itself to someone who actually knows how to run a tech business. Years of clueless leadership, bloated acquisitions, pointless reorgs, and nonstop layoffs have turned the place into a slow-motion train wreck where innovation goes to die and the employees who keep the lights on get punished for it. IBM isn’t “transforming” — it’s circling the drain. A sale might be the only shot this dinosaur has at survival.

OneDev 1.0 and OneDev 2.0 are the BIGGEST failures.

Neustar sold OneDev and OneTru to TU. OneDev 1.0 was a failure. Then They moved to OneDev 2.0. That too failed big time. Once that too failed, they moved the Neustar execs running these two to OneTru. OneTru is failing fast. Initially they wanted everything to be moved to OneTru AWS. Now they want to move to OneTru GCP when it is not close to production ready. Whenever the lips of SVPs and EVPs are moving, you know they are lying. The environment is absolutely toxic.

Agentic AI has a 98-99.5% failure rate.

Agentic AI has a 98-99.5% failure rate.

But business leaders are still pretending (lying) AI is taking peoples jobs.

https://arxiv.org/html/2510.26787v1

The best-performing current AI agents achieve an automation rate of 2.5%, failing to complete most projects at a level that would be accepted as commissioned work in a realistic freelancing environment. This demonstrates that despite rapid progress on knowledge and reasoning benchmarks, contemporary AI systems are far from capable of autonomously performing the diverse demands of remote labor.

TrueSpire sold for $45M

After much fanfare, the colossal flop Landmark Life/Truspire has been sold to fly by nighters Malibu Life ? :) wowers. After all of that fanfare that Mutual was going to make hundreds of millions of revene selling annuities, it didn't & flopped & made $5-$10m on the sale before tax. Now, watch Malibu figure out how to make the $$$$ mutual couldn't. Its Simpa Baye's swan song. Time for him to say Baiye Bye !!!!

Rumor has it…

HUMC to potentially buy out Optum in NJ!!! Has anyone else heard this??? New leadership has been a mess they have no idea what they’re doing! It’s ridiculous and straight up embarrassing that this is what Optum has become!!! What a failure!

Do most mergers fail?

Yes, a high percentage of mergers fail, with many studies indicating failure rates between 50% and 90%, with 70% to 75% being a commonly cited range. Key reasons for this failure include ineffective integration strategies, poor target identification, delays, a lack of speed, and cultural clashes between the two merging entities. Overpriced aquisition.

What a Crock

Did nexgen actually do anything other than waste hundreds of millions of dollars and su-k at rollout? Last I heard everyone on that project got 1’s and nice differentials to save face. Then were shown the door for that disaster.

Just the way leadership conducted layoffs says everything about this company

If the job market weren’t as bad as it is, I’d honestly consider those laid off the lucky ones. I’ve worked at several companies in this industry, and this one is, hands down, the worst managed, most impersonal, most dehumanizing, and least efficient by far. Funny how all those negatives always seem to come together. The worse you treat your employees, the worse the company itself becomes.

Cr--ker barrel - consulting

Why do executives funnel millions of dollars, while making millions of dollars into consulting companies while claiming that they can't raise pay for workers or do actual needed changes to the business?

Consulting is a total scam. Cr--ker barrel paid $700M on their rebrand that tanked them by $143M.

How much are we paying our executives and consulting companies for things that don't help the business at all?

innovation is dead

On Aug 7, there was an event celebrating 100 years of innovation at AT&T in Middletown highlighting past AT&T inventions. It was organized by Raj Savoor, VP of AT&T Labs. Retirees were invited because they were the last ones to see any innovation.

Highlight: keynote by Ed Amoroso, past CSO at AT&T who puts Rich Baich to shame. Talked about the future of cyber security (he started his own company after leaving) and gave the top 10 things in Letterman style that AT&T should be doing in the future. Am pretty sure not too many things AT&T is actually doing were on his list.

Lowlight: Some ex VP level retiree stood up during Q&A and said something like "I hear morale at AT&T is now in the toilet, what are you doing to engage employees such that the innovations we have heard about today will continue?" Andy Markus who was on the panel said "we are using AI to drive down costs and save the company money."

Homer 2.0 Stuntworks, best pack your bunny slippers

Ladies and gentlemen, Ford has just rolled out their latest Homer 2.0 moment and no, I’m not talking about Homer Simpson designing a car with a bubble dome and a La-Z-Boy recliner. I’m talking about Ford exec Homer, the man who has turned EV dreams into billion-dollar dumpster fires.

Now, Homer’s telling us this is the Model T moment. Really? The Model T brought the world the car. Homer’s Model T moment is like if Henry Ford said, ‘What if… we make it slower, uglier, and on fire half the time but call it progress!’

Every EV project? Dead. Every startup partnership? Gone faster than free pizza in the break room. Billions of dollars down the drain that’s not a business plan, that’s a reality TV show called Corporate Survivor: Detroit Edition.

And the excuses? Oh, they’re endless. The market! The supply chain! The moon’s in retrograde! Mercury’s in Gatorade! Everyone and everything else is to blame… except the Ford executives themselves. They’re walking around in Teflon suits and matching Teflon underpants nothing sticks, baby! They could drive the company straight into the side of a barn and somehow blame the barn.

The Model T put the world on wheels. Homer’s version? It’s putting shareholders on Xanax. It’s like watching a guy lose every hand at poker and still shout, ‘One more round, I’m feeling lucky!’ No, Homer. Step away from the wheel. Put down the keys. This isn’t a Model T moment it’s a clown car parade, and you’re leading it.

Anxiety is through the roof. Why did they tell us in March this was coming? We have stressed over it for months and it’s still not over. #failure

Another insightful move from CSCO ELT #failure .... Not even a quiet whisper of relevance within all the AI chatter. Ya'll are fired!! 🔥
