DOJ is looking at Gainwell

Look's like Gainwell has new problems. DOJ said they can be liable for a $500 million medicaid fraud that it ignored. And Treasury has set up a new medicaid fraud task force that we can report to.

And Bloomberg is still investigating I think.

Here is the task force info for Treasury.

The Treasury is interested in Medicaid/ Medicare fraud and they are willing to pay for your cooperation. Good luck! Do you think this is what RI has in mind? Cha Ching if you can provide proof!

XOM Corrupt HR

I filed a complaint with HR against my horrible manager last December and never received a response. I followed and still heard nothing.
Last week, during my 1:1 with him, I told him I had tolerated enough and confronted him about favoritism, dishonesty, improper practices, and unethical behavior. A couple of days later, HR suddenly scheduled a private meeting on my calendar.
In that meeting, they told me not to discuss the matter with anyone and said the investigation was about my interaction with my manager that happened on Monday. When I asked why no one ever reviewed the complaint I submitted four months ago, they gave vague excuses. I then pointed out that the same HR representative interviewing me now was the one assigned for the case I opened months ago...Because I’m not in management, they ignored my complaint. HR is useless...

Verizon store manager caught AirDropping himself woman’s s-x videos, police say: HIALEAH, Fla. — A woman mulling a switch from AT&T to Verizon ended up the victim of an intimate crime after visiting the latter’s retailer in Hialeah on Thursday afternoon, according to police.

Investigators said Noel Guerra Vaquer, the manager of the Verizon store at 7925 Hialeah Gardens Blvd., AirDropped videos of the woman having s-x with her partner from her iPhone to his personal phone under the guise of “assisting with the process of setting up potential service.”

Police said Guerra, 35, of Hialeah Gardens, had claimed he needed to look at her AT&T bill as she sought a quote at around 3:45 p.m.

A Hialeah Police Department arrest report states that the woman “realized that something was wrong after leaving the store when she observed a notification on her phone indicating that an AirDrop transfer had been successfully completed,“ listing the recipient as “Noel.”

Police said “the notification included a thumbnail image showing explicit content of herself.”

L3 Harris infested with Russian spies

It looks like the FBI caught a manager at L3 Harris selling secrets to a Russian broker. This is one reason why there’s layoffs, some people at the company can’t keep secrets because they are overwhelmed by greed.
They didn’t catch everyone yet, and it is still an ongoing investigation. Maybe if the FBI catches everyone there won’t be any need for more layoffs in that section as it will be reduced enough.
The whole company needs a complete government security review.

Canon Inc. hates America!

Companies today have seen the challenges with the US economy due to the ongoing tariffs.

Very quietly though have you realize the backlash against the American worker? Canon USA Inc. is holding it against the American workers by continuing to layoff and outsource to contractors in the Philippines.

In addition, we have not received one publication from corporate that didn’t mention the tariffs. The continued downsizing of the American working people is a direct response to the American government.

The company is currently being investigated in Melville for their layoffs that may result in the loss of the tax breaks they received when we moved our corporate HQ.

Canon USA Inc. knows they need to be here for business but doesn’t want to play ball with the people of our country. It’s a sad reality but you may be the next move they make in what they label as a right sizing due to the economic climate.

I simply can no longer trust this company because I feel that I am a targeted employee because I am American.

Nike Securities Fraud Investigation

Sorry if this is old news. Have never seen it linked or discussed. Has anyone actually read the case files on this. Seems to name a ton of executives, most of the c-suite under JD.

Probably nothing to see here. Our leaders have the utmost integrity, and Nike doesn’t have a poor track record of leaders doing nefarious things.

If the EEOC’s investigation leads to evidence of discrimination what will be the relief? Does Nike People Solutions get an overhaul, DEI Vice President cut, abolish the illegal quotas, etc.? There seems to be a lot of predictions about GT layoffs but based on earnings may be a lot more restructuring timed with this DEI complaint…

Citi moving jobs overseas

They are laying off everyone in the United States and hiring in all these hubs in Costa Rica, Manila, Mumbai, Warsaw. They are paying the workers for cheap labor. Thats how they are planning to cut expenses yet they are racking in millions by American investors. How are these employees in these countries will be able to communicate and have professional conversations when they will be working with business leaders based out of the US? The government needs to start investigating what is going on and start taxing these big corporations that are shipping American jobs overseas.

Falsified PhD

I suspect a co-worker to have a false PhD, and I have considered reaching out to the legitimate university to see if they have a record of this individual’s degree. I’m not going to confront this individual about it, but if I bring this to HR’s attention with or without solid evidence, could I be fired?

Blackbaud's JustGiving faces a regulatory investigation in the UK

Numerous UK newspapers picking this one up over the weekend, including The Times, The Daily Mail, and others.

No doubt their risk exposure / scrutiny with the regulators will increase as they continue to offshore UK and USA product roles and resources to India on the cheap. Looking at the numbers cited in their financial reports, JustGiving is a total cash cow!

Do managers decide anything in conduct cases?

For those with knowledge or experience:

If an investigation finds that an employee violated a rule, even without intent or malice etc. — is it up to the LOB management whether to keep them or not?

I understand an outcome “recommendation” is given by HR, but how much discretion is given to the LOB/team? Can they choose to ignore that recommendation?

Big problems coming up for Gainwell

The Trump administration has launched investigations into the use of diversity initiatives in hiring and promotion at major U.S. companies, built on the novel use of a federal law meant to punish businesses that cheat the government.

The civil probes are proceeding under the umbrella of the False Claims Act, which has traditionally been used to go after contractors who bill the government for work that was never performed or inflate the cost of services rendered.

Now the Justice Department is embracing the theory that holding a federal contract while still considering diversity when hiring is, in effect, fraud against the government that entitles it to recoup potentially millions of dollars.

“Investigation” aka harassment

These clowns they hire and slap the title as Human Resources are walking lawsuits. Their “investigations” are actually workplace harassment. There is no statute of limitations when it is in-going. Next time they say “we conducted an investigation” notate who said it and keep all documents. They are admitting to harassment.

When HR decides to stalk you, regardless if it’s at their business locations at an event, you can sue. Know your rights. They will disguise it as their “investigation.”
Document everything-who, what, when, where, how. Keep a journal.
Yes, you can sue your employer for emotional distress, but it's complex and usually requires linking it to illegal actions like discrimination, harassment, or retaliation, or proving your employer's extreme/outrageous conduct caused severe harm, often needing a physical manifestation or medical documentation of the distress (anxiety, depression, etc.). General work stress isn't usually enough; you need to show your employer's specific, unlawful behavior (e.g., racial harassment, wrongful termination) directly caused severe mental or physical symptoms, making legal help essential.
Contact the EEOC
Key Deadlines for Workplace Claims (EEOC)
Federal Standard: You have 180 days from the last act of harassment to file a charge with the EEOC (Equal Employment Opportunity Commission).
Extended Deadline: This extends to 300 days if your state or locality has its own anti-discrimination law and agency.
Ongoing Harassment: For continuous stalking, the clock starts from the last incident, allowing you to include earlier events in your complaint.
After EEOC: Once you receive a "Right to Sue" letter from the EEOC, you typically have 90 days to file a lawsuit in federal court.
