When redundancy becomes easy change

You work at DXC for 10 years and want a WFR package.
You stay because you think its the best thing to do.
You get zero pay rise for 10 years
You might be lucky (unlikely) but because of zero pay rises, your WFR package is reduced.
DXC gains either way - they can wait you out

Query Regarding Potential WFR Notifications

Has anyone been officially notified yet about the possibility of an upcoming WFR?

I wanted to check because recently my manager has become noticeably less communicative and doesn’t acknowledge my presence the way they used to. There hasn’t been any direct feedback or conversation, so I’m unsure how to interpret the change.

Does this kind of behavior typically indicate that someone may be on the list for a potential WFR, or am I reading too much into it? I’d appreciate hearing from others who may have experienced something similar or have insights into how these situations usually unfold.

Thanks in advance.

So, how do you feel this week ?

No pay rises,
Have to use holiday at Xmas,
WFR being bandied about,
Incoming staff earning way more than you,
Takeover rumours,
No job satisfactoon whatsoever, its just a job !!
Me, depressed, pi$$ed off, fed up and hate Mondays knowing I've got another 5 days of same old sh1te !

Finally Posting - New Directive

I’ve resisted posting on here, but I feel the need to. I’m in a Management position, but not giving specifics out of fear. My Leader gave me a directive on Friday to prepare for the big Q1 WFR list. Here it is. We have to try to avoid cutting H1B people because we uprooted their lives to move them here, so we can’t leave them stranded. So I guess they feel it’s OK to uproot talented Americans’ lives instead of getting rid of cheap, inferior workers. Total BS!

HP is funding Trump’s ballroom

What is the ROI on this and how does it align with our strategic planning?
At a time where we keep hearing about constant cost-cutting, endless WFRs, hiring freeze, and rumors of no raises, I think leadership owes us transparency on the motive and expected benefits. This really makes me sick to my stomach and I cannot be alone on this sentiment.

Wells Fargo warns of more layoffs amid ongoing job cuts

https://finance.yahoo.com/news/wells-fargo-warns-more-layoffs-203919733.html?fr=sycsrp_catchall
Wells Fargo has cut staff every quarter for the last five years. Its headcount of 210,821 declined 1% from the end of the second quarter and is down 4% from Sept. 30 of last year.

The CEO said the company has instead become more efficient.

“This was not driven by business sales or outsourcing but, in fact, real improvement in our efficiency,” CEO Charlie Scharf told investors on the bank’s earnings call. “We’ve also significantly reduced how much we spend on professional and outside services as well as non-branch real estate.”

Exact numbers of people who will lose their jobs were not shared.

Tip for future WFRs - FSA cutoff

Was part of the Sept 22 impact with effective date Oct 3. Health insurance is extended through the end of the impact month, however FSA cutoff is the last day worked. I scrambled to more a dental procedure from November to mid-Oct only to find out ot won't be eligible for FSA dental coverage since it was not prior to Oct 3. The paperwork provided is confusing at best and no one walks you through it. I am out $1200 of unused FSA because I thought I had til Oct 31. Don't make my mistake.
