Who will be the target?

Is there more information on who the target groups might be? How big will the upcoming cuts be anyway?

I set a goal for myself to be gone by the end of 2021

We're now well into 2022 and I'm still here. it's not for the lack of trying. I keep applying. I keep interviewing. But when I reach the pay negotiations, nobody is willing to pay even close to what I make currently. Now I have a feeling I'll be... — read more

Sad work culture!

The sad culture here in my 11 year work experience with this Bank is they want people to sit quietly at the desk and do their work, don't want people to ask enough questions , do what is told and we shouldn't be creative enough.

Dumpster fire or entire landfill fire

Advice for newbies?

I was surprised that a young and capable person took the place of a colleague who left a while ago. He is a talented young man, full of enthusiasm and will to work which is rare among the new hires nowadays. To be honest, I’m not exactly sure what... — read more

Dishonest and deceitful management

They say one thing and do another. Or they set all these rules but they never bother to follow them. "Do as I say, not as I do" is the main motto here, or so it seems. I've never worked at a place where I could trust management less. With people like... — read more

Left the company- still have a ton of equipment

Adapting to new times

It has long been clear to me that those at the top have very little or no vision for the future. Do you too think that BMY Mellon has difficulties adapting to the new times?

Russia

Will Todd pull out of Russia or is there too much money tied to oligarchs?

Mediocrity in the team

Unfortunately BNY Mellon rewards and praises mediocre work so there is less and less quality employees here. Just a few years ago, it was impossible for such people to have as much confidence as they do now. It's really hard to work with them. How... — read more

Know your worth

Layoffs and 10 x workers

If you don’t need to get laid off, just be a 10x worker. Don’t try it. Do it. Like this, coach. Make a fully reasonable goal. A fully reasoned goal is you working at 150% of what a highly motivated alpha WHITE MAN can do. This is BNY, it’s... — read more

Treasury Services Technology

So much for diversity

2nd Job

With gas prices and needing to drive to the office + parking / toll I cannot survive on BNYM salary. Do I HAVE to tell them I m working a 2nd job waiting table + 3rd job stocking at walmart overnight ? How would they find out / care?

RTO has nothing to do with productivity

The only reason why we're going back is so that the real estate is not sitting there empty and (in their heads) losing them money (which it's not). It has nothing to do with productivity (which has proven to be better when we WFH) and it has nothing... — read more

Is BNY primed to go under?

With so many quitting these past couple years, so many saying they are going to leave, and the bizarre inability—-or even desire—-to fill reqs, is BNY primed to go under and/or become part of a takeover? This goes way beyond the WFH issue. The mass... — read more
