Passing out opinions like lollipops
Since when does a company have almost every single person in the building make a decision on even the littlest things? The higher ups, like ML and that whole lot, have better things to worry about than half of the stuff they have to “approve” before anyone can actually move forward with their jobs.
Have a little faith in the people you employ, and maybe focus more on idk maybe a cohesive brand????? We’ve lost the plot entirely
Co Email regarding new Ad
Has anyone sesent. Read the new company Email = Did you hear? Simplicity is se-y. WTF is wrong with these people and company!!! S-X SELLS??
changes coming - only sales
All this stuff about how we operate is only for sales and their go to market strategy, for everyone else there are no changes and no layoffs
Talked to an Ops VP...
He expects a cut, notes that it will be sizable but 'reasonable' (whatever that means). When I pressed with numbers did not want to share anything. I said 20K, he said unlikely, I said 10K he said maybe. Take it for what it's worth. I typically trust him as he's a good person and we have a close relationship (long story) but wanted to share that.
Terrible offer, terrible process, terrible company!
I recently went through an interview process for a role in upstream. Not a normal process and the interviews some of the strangest I’ve ever had. I was asked for pay slips then after some months of radio silence was made an offer. The offer claimed Aramco is a “wealth building opportunity”, yet the package on offer was 30% less than my current comp. Seriously, who moves jobs for a pay cut? I politely refused!
One less RIF, don't get arrested.

What's the severance?
Is there somewhere to look it up?
I think it's done
So far a very calm day with no notifications that I know of. I'm taking it as a sign it's finally over.
Layoffs are a funny way to treat an ‘Important Part Of Our Portfolio’
Sony is laying off potentially hundreds of developers at Bungie as part of its latest round of cuts following the end of support for Destiny 2, but it will continue investing in Marathon despite the extraction sho-ter’s ongoing struggles to expand its audience despite rave reviews. That was the message from PlayStation Studios chief Hermen Hulst in a new letter about the cuts. The Sony exec called Marathon an “important” part of the company’s gaming portfolio and promised ongoing support, at least for now.

Canada Town Hall
What’s going on with the Canada town hall cancelled??
I put in for the VSP
The VSP makes sense for me. I am fortunate and I know it. And I get the fear of everyone. I have heard via a high ranking person within the company that pretty much everyone that asks for it will get it. They might be kept beyond the 9/1 date due to a project or something.
I get what is happening, but the people who don't place the blame 90% on the shoulders of Sarah London and the BOD are misguided. Last week we saw the BOD firming up their grip on power by bringing in another person on their side. This is unfortunate for the employees and probably the stockholders as well.
I wish all my coworkers well, but if you can swing it, take the VSP and move on.

IT or "DT" MSP
Here we go again! You love to hear it, let's celebrate y'all. Even contractors are not safe, it's like they haven't learned from Chevron, P66 on MSP's. You gotta love these leaders who be flying on PJ's drinking champagne while the common folk get shagged.

Who's left that's considered a leader?
Being with Canon for so many years, I believe and feel we still have some inspiring leaders, maybe not enough of them, but we have hope with the ones that still hopefully remain in place. I know the site is filled with negativity right now, and I understand, but maybe one post that offers some positive light at the end of the tunnel will help? Who's your favorite leader by initial only and group?

Is it a sign of layoffs
Did anybody else watch AP's President, Erik Lindhjem's message? It sounded like layoffs are coming from the way he delivered his news. It sounded like AP business isn't doing so well.
Are people avoiding Oracle these days?
We've been trying to fill a role for months, and we've gotten almost no qualified applicants. It almost feels like qualified people have heard the stories, know what it's like here, and are staying away as a result. We desperately need help, but I don't think we'll get it anytime soon.
Shocking but looks like it's True
Whether J is quitting in the last quarter of this year from ACN? Lots of rumors in the Stock market world going on around this topic, after the huge crash on last Monday
Elastic Cuts Staff, Citing AI Automation

UKI Leadership Call, did you attend? Vote up for yes or down for no.
Don’t normally attend these monthly calls but decided to tune in today. Well that was an hour wasted. Mainly insufferable people droning on in corporate speak about absolute BS. Main takeaway was hearing that 400 UK staff are on a PIP? Is this bell curve requirements, something for middle managers to do, a tick box exercise or all 3? Oh and not a word about pay review.
Coach
Has anyone or ia any experiencing the AP and front coach moving to one coach. For both? And overnight coach going to one coach?

Londonderry - Avoid like the plague
Since my last post got deleted, I won't go into specifics but the Londonderry office is a disaster. Lots of managers and senior people leaving. Morale extremely low.
I have worked at 4 other places in my career and the negativity flowing through this one is the worst. Please avoid IVS.
