And with the leg cutoff, I can jump higher!

A lotof cliches can be said so I'll spare you the boredom.

They did it again, stakeholder value was retained for a quarter at a cost of competency.

We knew this comany is not here to innovate, I mean the top product is a cheap SharePoint variant and the latest innovation is AI tool that saves you time in copy-paste, if you are willing to spend 6600$ a month to host it.

No one in OT asks themselves why other companies make money while we are not, they ask how can we milk a 30 year old tech with minimal effort and here we are, 2% down anda new announcement that now, this time, finally, for sure - will succeed because the problem was expensive employees not 8ncompetent accountants.

Ever heard about 3% YOY growth that never happens? Yes!
Ever heard about analysts that get fired for getting it wrong? No!
The OT way.. a graveyard for auccessful tech for sale.

PHCO Town Hall

Thoughts on anyone who just attended the town hall? What a load of BS. I am sure all the staff on the call appreciated the UM Tech slide and AI taking over their jobs. Questions in the chat on VSP, were responded with VSP is not part of this presentation, we have no further updates to share, appreciate this is a stressful time and the VSP decision is a personal one. Basam and team could not be anymore disrespectful. So disingenuous to your valued employees. Disgraceful!!!

"Nothing was divested and the layoffs were performance driven"

SV was concerned and confused about the fact that 105 people voted on the Slido question...ELT will lie to our faces and call us crazy for questioning them

Quote from earnings call:

"While we continue to drive ASV growth, we are focused on capitalizing on our scale to deliver long term sustainable and profitable growth. To that end, we have launched a range of strategic projects aimed at running FactSet with greater discipline and efficiency. Sanoke outlined multiple productivity, but from an operational standpoint, I will highlight 2 items we initiated during Q3 and completed in the past few weeks. We recently rightsized certain engineering teams as we standardize how we build and run software and take advantage of AI assisted coding. Additionally, we entered into an arrangement with RepRisk to support our clients' needs as we discontinued the signals attribution service FactSet provided following the 2020 acquisition of Truvalue Labs."

Long live NetApp and Qumulo

  • Stopped using Scrum @ Scale and reorganized teams → "industry-wide" TDD initiative.
  • Continuous release date slippage → mandatory weekend work.
  • Core Shanghai teams axed with little to no notice → work shifted to other geos; quality suffered
  • AI must be used X hours per day & new work requires AI readable specs or out - Project Maverick
  • On site junior engineers welcome; remote senior years get the boot

Despite these changes, little is being done to address the fundamental issues within the product development process at its core: Isilon OneFS has been in maintenance mode for over a decade. AI spending extended product life support temporarily, but this shift to layoff remote US staff truly signals the end of the product.

Darrow Cuts Workforce Despite Profitability

Legaltech startup Darrow has laid off approximately one-third of its staff, impacting around 60 employees. This significant reduction includes many legal analysts who were instrumental in developing the company's AI platform. Despite being profitable for three consecutive years, Darrow cited market evolution and technological advancements as reasons for reorganization. The company aims to become a more agile and multidisciplinary organization to support future growth.

Verizon lately

Verizon is doing INCREDIBLY well. Maybe the greatest corporate success anyone has ever seen. People come up to me with tears in their eyes and say, “Sir… how do you lay off thousands of people while the stock keeps going down?” I say, “It’s called winning. You wouldn’t understand.”

The Fake News says, “The stock is down.” Wrong! It’s a beautiful strategic decline. Very advanced. The smartest people are saying they’ve never seen anything like it.

Every week there’s another reorg, another layoff, another AI announcement. Tremendous momentum. Nobody restructures better than Verizon. Nobody. Believe me.

Big win for SAP HR

More information will be shared via emails regarding Project Fuji which is actually a continuation of Project Mongoose but with a different name. Lots of discussions between HR and the Betriebsrat this time and the HR definitely won.

The works council just approved the layoff of 8000 of 14000 jobs that Christian Klein and Dominic Asam wanted. This will happen gradually and all hiring managers are supposed to give preference to internal candidates first. Anyone who has been found to not use AI in the last many months or isn't deemed AI ready will have to undergo compulsory training or face layoffs. They are going to add more sections in Performance Management and force all employees to have an AI related goal. Managers make the final decision on whether employees are AI ready or not and this will impact the HOW and WHAT scores.

But this is devastating news nonetheless. I can't wait for my non-technical development manager to tell me that I am not burning enough AI tokens on something frivolous. She uses them all the time to create presentation graphics and vibe coding and none of that is actually creating any value for SAP customers. But she's an AI star now and actually "coaches" developers on how to use AI in day-to-day life. There are also discussions ongoing with the supervisory board to increase share buybacks and the dividend in the upcoming quarter. HR wants to use "any money saved through layoffs and performance management" to be used towards this.SAP is on track to become one of the worst companies to work for.

Getting worse

After another round of layoffs ( people who worked over 10 yrs have been layed off shortly after they were celebrated by the upper management although there are seemingly a lot open positions suitable). Offshore colleagues are being solely treated as numbers and laid off - still we are expected to perform even more because of "AI"...

Salesforce Reduces Workforce in AI and Cloud Divisions

Salesforce has implemented job cuts affecting its AI agent and cloud software teams. A California WARN notice details 86 eliminated positions across various departments. Employees in Washington state and internationally were also impacted by these reductions. The company's severance packages are based on employee level, tenure, and age. These layoffs occur as Salesforce navigates concerns about AI's potential impact on its software offerings.

Any medical device company that thinks AI...

Any medical device company that thinks AI is here to disrupt it are foolish and wrong. AI is here to disrupt mo--ns like every EVP and SVP at this company that can’t read or reply to emails on time and it’s here to definitely stay in manufacturing and will be utilized in imaging but when it comes therapy, AI will ki-l people and GM is the biggest id--t for not understanding this basic thing. Cathworks will prove it that GM acquired a fu--ing science project while scientia will pay dividends for years to come

AI can replace executives

Look around AT&T and you will many executives with a strategy title. Why not leverage AI to define our strategies and reduce executives responsible for this. When u listen to these folks talk they are saying the same thing financial analyst are already saying about AT&T. Everyone can come up with strategies, why overpay someone for this.

Severance: Bus Insider - Microsoft Offers Generous Severance Packages

Microsoft is providing laid-off US employees with a substantial severance package. Most employees can receive up to 39 weeks of base pay, with a minimum of 60 days. The duration of the severance is determined by an employee's seniority and tenure with the company. Additionally, eligible employees will receive continued stock vesting for up to 12 months and six months of paid health insurance. These benefits are part of broader cost-cutting measures and significant investments in AI infrastructure.

State of T. Rowe Price in 2026

This is my view of where we are in '26. Take allof this with a grain of salt as I've been wrong many times before. This is reflecting my views and I am not sharing any internal information. And, yes, I am angry:

  1. The culture has changd and not for the better.
  2. Bottom-up ideas no longer seem to matter. Period.
  3. Politics + self-preservation are in, real leadership is out
  4. WAY TOO MANY managers, way too little accountability.
  5. Collaboration is talked about. it is NOT practiced.
  6. Quality people are leaving. Some are waiting for the right time to jump.
  7. AI just an excuse to cut roles. OK, maybe has some bus use too.
  8. Some teams are way too bloated - some teams have already been cut way too deep.
  9. Offshore turns companies to sh-t, it's happening to us to. Poor quality, poor oversight.
  10. Value standards have slipped, enshitification is in progress.
  11. Come in and work/collaboration in office, but it's OK to ship work offshore. Sick.
  12. Morale is low, trust is weak, and it's gettin worse.
  13. The old T. Rowe Price is gone.

Oracle knows OpenAI will go belly-up

From: https://www.telegraph.co.uk/business/2026/07/03/the-ai-bubble-is-bursting-but-behind-it-hides-an-even-great/

Re: semiconductor drop last week
The trigger seems to have been talk of a thousand plagues by the hybrid cloud giant Oracle, which ranged from wild overbuilding of data centres to stranded capacity, power and water shortages, permitting delays, credit risk and customer defaults.

Its annual report contained the cluster bo-b that “highly leveraged” customers had contracted more computing power than they could plausibly pay for. “We may experience risks of non-payment and non-performance in our dealings with such parties,” Oracle said.

Translation: “Oracle is saying that OpenAI may have ordered too much food, may not eat it all, and, worse, may not pay the bill,” said Ipek Ozkardeskaya from SwissQuote, a foreign exchange firm. Could ChatGPT be squeezed out and go the way of Firefox? It certainly could.

Oracle sued over OpenAI scam........AGAIN

https://thenextweb.com/news/oracle-investor-lawsuit-openai-deal

The strain inside the AI bo-m’s biggest infrastructure bet has reached a courtroom. Oracle’s own investors are suing, saying the company hid how shaky its $300bn deal with OpenAI really was.

"Oracle was required to disclose at the time of the February 2026 Note Offering that the customer primarily responsible for the staggering [remaining performance obligations] growth claimed in the registration statement - OpenAI - had missed its internal revenue and new user targets and that OpenAI's own CFO had doubts raised about OpenAI's ability to pay for cloud computing power such as that supplied by Oracle. The registration statement, however, contained no such disclosures," the pension writes.

Bootup Studios Aids Miami in AI Layoff Resilience

Chandler Malone's Bootup Studios helps displaced workers become founders. The company developed an AI-powered platform for starting businesses with smaller teams. Malone believes AI makes company creation easier despite job reductions. Miami's economy, driven by small businesses, may fare better than other tech hubs. Bootup Studios recently secured Morehouse College as a customer and joined Parallel18.

T lost that innovator feeling

Remember when T as a company was an innovator of new technologies. What was T's last successful innovation? They lost that culture and were duped into spending 100's of billions in mergers and takeovers only to have to sell them for pennies on the dollar. How did the once top innovator in the world miss the AI innovation?

Possible layoffs

Today I got an email of a mandatory meeting, there is a new partnership for customer service, and if you check the news it's Hexaware, which is a company that is known for replacing staff for AI. I'm not surprised due to hiring issues but makes sense why no one has been replaced yet.

Hiring freezes, attrition culture, travel spending cuts to go all in on AI

https://finance.yahoo.com/technology/ai/articles/sap-freezes-hiring-travel-fund-134122456.html

An article recently published.

"SAP freezes hiring and travel to fund ’significant’ AI push - Reports"

The spending reorientation is paired with a sweeping leadership reorganization. CEO Christian Klein has personally assumed control of AI product development under a program called "Project Fuji," absorbing the responsibilities of departing board member Muhammad Alam rather than immediately naming a replacement. Chief Operating Officer Sebastian Steinhäuser has taken over Industrial AI. SAP confirmed the logic in a statement to CIO.com: "SAP is evolving its organization to accelerate its transformation toward an AI-driven Autonomous Enterprise. The new structure brings AI, data, and core applications closer together, enabling more integrated, end-to-end solutions built on SAP's unique process expertise."

"This is the second major reorganization in 2026. A March restructuring created the "Customer Value Group," and a May update established dedicated "Business AI Platform" and "Autonomous Suite" units reporting directly to Klein. The pace of internal change reflects how seriously the company is treating the pivot, and how much investor patience has frayed as the stock has slid more than 26% below its 200-day moving average of €182.43."

"Klein has been blunt about what the transformation means for the workforce. "I'm not sure if here someone in two or three years will still code software," he told The New York Times on Thursday. "I don't expect to operate with a smaller work force, but with a very, very different work force." SAP shed roughly 3,000 jobs in a 2023 restructuring and then launched a €2 billion cost program in early 2024 affecting 8,000 positions, yet has since added more than 3,500 net new roles, many of them customer-facing "forward-deployed engineers" working on AI solutions.

At SAP Sapphire in May 2026, Klein unveiled the "Autonomous Suite," rebranding the full cloud ERP stack around agentic AI, and confirmed a shift to consumption-based pricing measured in "AI Units", a significant structural departure from traditional per-user SaaS billing that could alter revenue predictability. How enterprise customers and analysts model that transition is one of the most consequential open questions heading into results."

Given this restructuring and headcount reduction info, which areas will be most prone to a mass layoff?

Microsoft Job Cuts Continue This Week

Microsoft is preparing for another round of layoffs in July 2026. The company expects to cut 5,000 to 5,700 jobs globally. These reductions will primarily affect sales, consulting, and the Xbox division. The move aligns with the new fiscal year and a strategic shift towards AI. This follows previous large workforce reductions in 2025.

Open or closed AI models

Not so shocking report from Mistral - if companies use closed AI models then these models from vendors will end up learning the business operations of these companies and make them redundant!

Is SAP using closed or open AI models?

The days of high paying tech roles is over with.

You are being let go so that they can loop back around with the same job openings at much much lower pay with the reasoning that AI does the bulk of the decision making.
The 6 figure tech job will very soon be a thing of the past. This plan is unfolding right before your eyes now. Don’t let the lie you tell yourself of “maybe not me” manifest into a false sense of security. Your days a literally numbered on the calendar. Good luck everyone.

Congress Debates AI Regulation Amid Job Loss Concerns

A recent report connects artificial intelligence to widespread job losses. It indicates nearly 200,000 layoffs have occurred since 2023. Many Americans feel uncertain about AI's rapid development. Younger workers are especially concerned about their future jobs. Lawmakers remain divided on regulating AI versus promoting innovation.

General Motors Adds Robots After Detroit Layoffs

General Motors laid off over 1,000 workers at its Detroit Factory ZERO. The company then introduced 50 AI-powered collaborative robots at the same plant. GM stated the layoffs were temporary and unrelated to the new machines. UAW leaders expressed outrage, believing automation is displacing human labor. The union also faces internal controversies and leadership disputes.
