Does anyone know from past layoffs if full time contractors were typically the first to be cut? Seems likely but wasn’t sure if that was the practice here.

But I am noticing that those affected are mostly 50+. Not a good look for the company.

For those who keep asking "are layoffs done," the answer is always going to be no. Maybe there won't be many large rounds anymore, but small cuts are happening all the time. Just ask around. We're in the stage where layoffs are just another fact of life.

It is not about expecting a reward. I actually get a real sense of satisfaction from doing a job well, no matter where I am or who I work for. But here is the thing all of us have to accept. Do not expect loyalty back. Do not expect appreciation. Do not expect any of it to protect you. When cuts come, you will be out the door just as fast as the person who does nothing. Maybe faster. The next layers are full of Brocklehurst who are just yes men who processes and paperwork to stop real progress.

The managers below are just tickboxes for the Brocklehurst level.

All focus remains on cost cutting and wind down which they are good at.

This has been the strategy for the last 10 years.
