Admins at Centene?
How likely is it that they eliminate administrative staff? On the one hand, they wouldn't function well without us, on the other hand they constantly underestimate how much operational impact we have. I'm just getting tired of worrying about job stability every couple of years. Maybe it's time to take the exit. IDK...
Some platinum biz sellers getting axed today
Some people are getting axed based on profitability today- weren’t on plans, just based on years round performance out of the blue- always make sure that resume is updated- T is never a safe company to work at
Is it legal??!!
From HR here
And shocked with my recent experience.
Had an opening which is not a Visa sponsorship position.
Hiring manager was so mad and ended up convincing his LL4 and my boss and changed to Visa sponsorship. His LL4 and My leadership is also Indian.
Later he confessed to me saying his cousins badly need a Job who is on OPT Visa and has only 30 days, else she have to go back to India..
He even modified the resume to match the Job description..unfortunately HR hands are tight with this as no substantial evidence (except 2 different resumes)
U.S. Jobless Claims Decline; Layoffs Remain Low
U.S. applications for jobless aid decreased last week. Filings dropped by 4,000 to 226,000. This indicates layoffs remain historically low across the country. The U.S. economy added 172,000 new jobs in May. The unemployment rate currently stands at 4.3%.

Union guy here and still waiting for a surplus. There's a job in AUTS so the likelihood of one is pretty low.

Mid Year Self Assesment
My manager told me not to submit it as we had regular 1:1, should I be worried?
GTO - How close?
How close are they to the dream of everyone below certain levels being replaced by AI or completely replaced via labor arbitrage?
A rough % is enough.
Centene Layoffs
I am fairly young and beginning my career, I’ve been with centene for 6 years and my VSP contract is not bad. I’m contemplating taking it and walking away but my only concern is that they do not even release my department. I have been through years of “we are rebuilding” and multiple job layoff scares. I have no idea what to do and it’s driving me crazy everyday since London crusty a-s sent that email.
Need advice as a new Centene employee
I just started a couple months ago. I love my job, coworkers, and even my boss. I finally enjoy what I do at work but then this happens. I could have an option to work as an apartment manager but I would probably have to leave before August. Is it worth staying? I would hate being an apartment manager but seeing how my last job ended with a layoff I saw recently how horrible the job market is.
Welcome to USBank India email sent by executive just now
Are these guys tone deaf??? They just sent an email with USBank India and how this new guy they hired will make USBank India great again.
So those of us on Operations are all going to to lose 0ur job to USBank India and they send this email out about how great this new guy is shipping all jobs to India and Philippine
Jobs saved
Centene Corporation Chief Executive Officer Sarah London earned a total calculated compensation of $19,506,298 for the 2025 fiscal year. This represents a slight decrease from her 2024 total compensation package of $20,602,148.
Andrew L. Asher — Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer (CFO)Total Compensation: $16,072,880
And that's just those two.
Maybe get rid of them first. How many jobs could be saved?
Job searching
are people looking for a new job now or going to wait it out and see if you get laid off?

Genuinely curious if anyone out there actually loves their job at T and what that even feels like
I'm asking because I honestly can't remember what it's like to not dread Monday morning. If you actually love what you do, what's your job and what makes it worth it for you?
Being laid off has been a nightmare
I can't get interviews for roles that match my experience, so I've been applying for entry level jobs just to get some money coming in, since severance is melting away. Each one of them said I'm overqualified and would leave too fast. So what am I supposed to do?
Citibank Cuts More Jobs in New Jersey
Citibank announced 68 additional layoffs in New Jersey. These job cuts will occur in Bergen and Hudson counties. The layoffs are scheduled to take place on June 28. This follows a February notice affecting 141 Citibank employees. Other New Jersey employers also filed recent layoff notices.

Frontier Employees Protected
Frontier employees will not be impacted in upcoming RIF’s for their first 12 months as a VZ employee.
Any jobs safe?
I work in customer service and will be starting a new role in authorizations. I wonder if I'm safe.
Can VZ start a Loyalty Program for employees?
As in, don't fire the people who are doing their jobs well. VZ has record profits, but it makes bad decisions at the top creating lots of debt.
Would you take VR (Up vote for Yes / Down vote for No
I’m curious how many want VR over how many are in bad locations / have no choice or dare I say it happy.
July DNME???
I have a very fuzzy charter right now. I feel I was left behind to ensure nothing breaks, but with each day it seems my work is not likely to meet the never ending evaluation. All this to say, I don't really have a job right now. I'm in limbo.
Has there been any word on July round of layoffs or cuts? Did all 3000 employees get notified before? Or will some of them be notified before fiscal year end?
How do we know that only those hired over 2 years ago are eligible?
I’ve been here a year and a half no email yet…
What departments?
Any one know specifically what departments are being considered? I was laid off during the UnitedHealthcare layoffs back in September of 2024. Centene hired me after a long 7 month search and now I can’t believe im having to go through this again! i I thought centene was going to be my long term after such a devastating time and now this.
Terrified
I was hired a few weeks before the hiring freeze and haven’t built up a cushion to survive off of yet. I just graduated and moved here for the job. I’ll be royally sc--wed if I get cut whenever they start doing actual layoffs 😬
Harvard FAS Prepares Layoffs, Seeks Internal Hires
The Faculty of Arts and Sciences (FAS) at Harvard University is undergoing an administrative overhaul. This restructuring could eliminate up to one in four staff jobs. FAS recently opened internal searches for seven new high-level administrative positions. Staff members anticipate additional job cuts this summer. The changes aim to address federal funding cuts and a budget deficit.

What happend to Nielsen?
I retired from Nielsen 5+ years ago. A former coworker pointed me to this site, so I'm out of the loop. I only ended up on the careers page because my son just graduated with an engineering degree, and I thought the Oldsmar facility would be a great place for him to start. Instead, I'm perplexed; are all the engineering jobs in India now? What actually happened to Nielsen? The engineering culture and work at Oldsmar used to be great, but now it seems like a ghost town. Catch me up on what I missed (and yes, I realize now I should probably steer my son elsewhere!)
Who is safe?
Certain employee groups are ineligible for the VSP “ “.
What are the specialized roles and core initiatives that would be “safe”
Are new team members exempt from the upcoming layoff or just not eligible for the VSP?
Senior executives- VP and up?
Some departments have been laying off staff for months now. Was that a separate initiative?
Zero job security
This company can't be trusted. If you make too much money or someone doesn't like you, you're probably a target. In some divisions you have zero job security no matter how good you are. Start looking for a new job now and save up a rainy day fund.
I wish people would stop hating on Exxon so much
Is it ideal? No. Is it better than a lot of places right now? Yes. If you've taken half an hour of your day to brows available jobs, you'd know how cr-ppy the job market is right now. Having a relatively safe job with a decent pay at this moment is more than many others have. As I said, this place is far from perfect, but let's get some perspective.
Datadog has not had any company-wide, broad layoffs in its history
While G2 talks about who won't last at Cisco, Datadog keeps its employees and customers happy
Grocery stores
How bad does it stink to service the big chains now? It’s easier to create a local Jam or honey and sell it into a Walmart locally than it is to sell for a cpg company right now. My neighbor got her honey into Walmart (9 stores) and is making more than our TSLs from that alone. These jobs are really bad right now.
Michigan Job Market Slows Amid Economic Caution
Michigan's economy continues to expand, but job growth is slowing. A West Michigan survey revealed the employment index turned negative in May. This indicates employers are becoming more cautious about hiring. Statewide forecasts predict slower economic growth and a softer labor market. Consumer confidence and spending are critical factors for the future outlook.

ServiceNow Cuts Jobs Despite CEO's Prior Promise
Software company ServiceNow announced layoffs affecting 63 workers in its San Diego office. This action contradicts CEO Bill McDermott's earlier pledge to maintain a steady headcount. Dozens more employees across California were also impacted. Many affected roles are senior positions in sales and consulting. The company reported strong revenue and profit in the first quarter. Investors, however, expressed dissatisfaction with AI growth projections.

How should I approach my manager about volunteering for the next RIF?
How should I approach my manager about volunteering for the next RIF? I won't go into too much detail here, but I have been incredibly miserable since they moved me to a new role after the first wave of VSP in 2024. It's a role I never would have applied for on my own. Originally I had hoped to stay in this role for a short period of time and then eventually move to another role internally. However, given the current state of the company, that is no longer a viable option. I was thinking of giving my notice soon (no I don't have another job lined up, but I have enough savings to get me by for quite a while). Should I approach my manager about volunteering for the next RIF so I can at least get severance? If so, how should I approach the conversation? Or should I just give notice and be done with this place?
End of Fiscal Year
Anyone heard anything? Wondering if we should polish up our resumes.
