Get rid of teams. Back in office 4 days a week to collaborate. If I am taking / collaborating with Johnny, who is an Executive Director in Risk, Governance, Compliance, Regulatory Remediation for Credt, WIM,Corporate and Community banking who is an SME in RCSA, then my teams might be yellow for an hour. I am getting extremely valuable knowledge on how to be on calls all day long and filling out metric reports for people who look at those reports and challenge them with questions like “where do you get this data?”

Shout out to Team Shannon Bell
They surprised me at the speed in which they lock out laid off employees from the laptops. We are talking 15-30 minutes. And they can discreetly delete the Outlook and Teams app off your phone within an hour. I guess the proficiency is due to the high volume of practice they receive every six or so months.
Now, only if Team Shannon Bell could find away to fulfill routine employee IT requests in a timely manner. Right now we are talking weeks, and in some cases, months.
This company is a clown show.
Are the teams that were retained this week considered stable, or is it only a matter of time before they too are phased out?
Should we expect that literally ALL teams within CIO, Tech Development, and Professional Services will eventually transition to contractors or be phased out, or are there certain products or teams that are intended to remain in place much longer term/business as usual? Do we think this will eventually also impact other teams like sales, client support, client success, etc?
Vasara risk project
Any intel/experiences on the Vasara project and the people that run it?
I may look to transfer over and wanted to know if it's a good team to join
The usual circle gets everything
It's becoming impossible to ignore the fact that certain people get access to opportunities the rest of us don't even know exist, not to mention are considered for. It's always the same names for every good project, every interesting assignment. I guess hard work doesn't matter if you're not in the right group.
Whoop there it is
Ynon goes hard on Mondays. Good luck to all
There is rumour that few VPs knows that their team is safe
Is it true, then list is finalized.. layoffs may start from Tuesday
Survived the layoffs today
I can’t say I’m happy about it, just relieved I still have a job. Two people on my team were let go.
The disconnection is unbearable
The newest CHRO’s Post-it wisdom says:
When we stop trying to be everywhere, we finally give our leaders the space to be innovative and quick. Speed doesn't come from more eyes on a project; it comes from fewer, more decisive ones.
Yet - we are drowning amidst all the things that have to get done - with a crippled team who does not know anything because the experts are gone. And she comes up with JOMO.
In what world she is living?
SMH
Three people gone from my team yesterday
Skilled, experienced, two were veterans. Feels like they're targeting the ones we actually need. Apparently being good at your job is now a liability.
Great Q4 earnings report
Great job everyone! As a retired Macy's IT worker, it is great to see Tony Spring take the reins and show incredible sales results. Such a pleasure not to fear sales reporting.
As a team, you all deserve recognition. Yes, many changes- retail is ever changing, especially in the environment we are currently in.
Macy's did a great job navigating the change, great execution in planning as well.
Here's wishing you all a successful 2026,!
3 pets, 7 team members or Thinking in Thrive Boxes for Simpletons
How will my manager manage?
She has 3 pets, 2 performers, 2 under performers.
How will she fit them in the corporate Thrive boxes? With only $16,485.38 cents for raises, 2 of the pets are going to be punished by being forced into the performer box.
I do not see this working out well for my teammates. Feels like more undocumented RIF actions than NetApp's move important asset.
WDGSTIF? Who Did George Steal This Idea From? Oh, well his twin brother of course.
People team openly sc-mmy
I sit near the “people team” at one of our locations and there’s a very loud male employee who openly talks about “lowballing” candidates and mocking them for asking questions about return to office. You’re all low life henchmen and women for this disgusting EC. You can’t handle simple requests yet you act like you’re the all knowing and all mighy.
They eliminated a role on my team and just dumped the work on me
No extra pay, no discussion, just "figure it out." I'm doing two jobs and burning out fast. Anyone else dealing with this?
Reflecting on recent events
Reflecting on the energy sector lately, it’s striking how much the work we do matters ... not just in powering homes and industries, but in doing it thoughtfully and responsibly.
At Chevron, there’s a quiet consistency to how things get done: prioritizing the safety of people and protection of the environment above everything else, building real partnerships that last, valuing the diverse perspectives everyone brings, and always aiming to deliver high performance with integrity at the core. It’s not flashy, but it’s steady and over time, that approach builds something meaningful.
In an industry full of challenges and change, being part of a team guided by those principles feels like a real advantage. It shapes the decisions, the collaborations, and even the small daily choices that add up.
Grateful to be in the middle of it, contributing alongside people who care about getting results the right way.
What about you? what keeps you motivated in this space?
Team meeting invite
Any other groups receiving team meeting invites for the 26th?
is the design team cooked?
with this new myQ that is being generated and the hiring they're doing in India, could we see the design team being eliminated or reduced?
Laid off and immediately replaced
Help me understand how 1 team lays off one employee and then pulls another employee from a different team to fill a position on the team they just laid someone off on? Couldn't they have transferred the employee they just laid off?
Reorgs work........nahhh
Thumbs up if your Team is in worse shape now after last year's Reorg.....the talk is there might be a new one to fix it.....
Bi-weekly meetings
Our manager has recently initiated bi-weekly meetings with all employees. The team already has regular meetings, and it is an open team where the manager is universally liked. I have noticed the team seems to be getting punished for not being able to do all things all the time due to other teams regulatory failings which are universally creating work for everyone adjacent; any ideas what might be going on as a guess? Could the company, wrongly as usual, be targeting our team?
Any news layoffs
Any news on upcoming layoffs. In our market, we have some organizational changes. Where there’s a small team and a large team under one supervisor that’s supposed to have different roles. One team will be working on building a program. The other team would continue to do what they’re doing. Thinking this may be a sign that they’re going to eliminate an entire team.
Its 2 person per team layoff
If managers are asked for list, its usually 2 person per team layoff in Oracle. If you are not in your manager's list then you will be the one.
Ten years here, and this is what sticks with me:
Restructuring solves nothing, breaks plenty. Vacancies never get filled, teams just get more stretched and bitter.
And they always cut the wrong people. Not that the rest of us are useless. We're not. But without fail, they boot the one person who actually mattered - the skilled one, the experienced one, the glue who kept the team from falling apart. Every single time.
It boggles the mind, really. Especially when you see the same pattern repeating itself for so many years.
Collegue Appreciation Day
Actions speak louder than words....save the umpteen emails.
Employee Appreciation Email
How about this employee appreciation email?!? She is thankful for her job now go appreciate each other.
Workload
Curious how everyone's workload has been since the cuts. It's been long enough to know the real impact. My team lost just one person, so it's been manageable so far. But I wonder how teams that got cut in half are doing. How bad is it?
Corporate Goals
Be great at execution! Be great at chopping headcount.
Do whats right: fire everyone!
Embrace candor: You will be fired.
Build a high performing team, bit in India.
Jax Flexible seating- it’s happening again!
So I was previously located in another area of campus in a flexible seating space. Over a short period of time all of the flexible seating became assigned seating and neighborhood pods. Of course those neighborhood pods and assigned seats were the preferred seat seating near windows, quiet spaces, etc. and the only options left were in the noisy busy parts of the floor..
Our group just moved to building 600 pod C and it’s happening again.. seriously don’t understand the purpose of flexible seating if teams are going to start going through the process of making assigned seats. It’s so obnoxious to get stuck with the creepiest seating options just because I’m an individual contributor and not in the position to throw a trantrum to secure the preferred seats. So here I am once again being faced with having to sit next to the door where everyone enters and exits all day long. This whole thing is so obnoxious and ridiculous… even comical to some degree.
Get Ready!
To branch teams-you’re not angry enough. If you thought service was poor and you weren’t getting the right answers before, buckle up. Starting early summer a lot of service topics are going down to one prompt, meaning the person you’re taking to has been hastily trained on a bunch of topics and probably won’t be much help. If it sounds familiar, hey guess what-it’s just like branch services only worse. You all PAY for home office-the so called leaders don’t give a sh*t about their people actually knowing and understanding the information; they just want warm bodies in the seat. Oh and they’ll be using a second contracting company as well so good luck. I feel sorry for branches who actually want to help their clients. The leaders at the top are just greedy, soul su-king drones who only care about making more money for themselves.
More layoffs
I’m hoping our team is next. Seriously our team serves no purpose to be fair. It could be done by other departments or really just an automation in the system. It’s not survival it’s just the truth. Not sure why they even made this team as it doesn’t even make sense. Literally here collecting until the end because it pays something while looking elsewhere.
Why are the drilling guys so little minded and gossipy?
You would think these are the rough guys of the industry, but man, the view gals look like scholars.
Broyhill Sold Fiserv (FISV) Due to Lack of Analyzability
Another Fiserv obituary like many investors duped by KKR, Frank and team. From Insider Monkey.
Broyhill Asset Management stated the following regarding Fiserv, Inc. (NASDAQ:FISV) in its fourth quarter 2025 investor letter:
"Our mistakes were costly. Our largest detractors were Avantor, Fiserv, Inc. (NASDAQ:FISV), and Six Flags. Losers also shared a common thread: financial leverage amplified by execution missteps. Fiserv was a close second. This was a particularly painful loss because we thought we owned a dominant business with a flawless record of consistent execution, trading at a large discount to the market and to its own history. We increased our investment through the first half of the year because we believed the market was overly punitive in assessing short-term headwinds and slowing growth at Clover. As the stock’s decline accelerated and the valuation collapsed, we actively questioned what we might be missing, seeking additional context, perspective, and data to stress our assumptions. In hindsight, we over-weighted the probability that the sell-off was driven by competitive dynamics and overlooked the probability of more structural issues beneath the surface. As it turned out, that “flawless execution” was a red flag. We immediately exited the position when we concluded the company was unanalyzable. We now believe the most similar analogue for Fiserv post the reign of former CEO Frank Bisignano, who resigned to join the current administration right before the stock’s collapse, was the rubble left behind by Jack Welch at General Electric. For younger investors, not witness to Welch’s glory days, Google’s Gemini produced an impressive analogue available in this report and dashboard."
Senior manager positions
What is going on with job titles? I see people with titles as senior teamlead and manager, however Noone reports to them.
Risk programs going away?
Has anyone heard whether risk programs are being paused right now? With so many changes lately, it’s been tough to keep up, and I’m just trying to get a clearer picture. The goal is to make sure teams are set up for success, so any insight would be appreciated. Managers are eerily silent.
AI and AI team
Will AI make AI team redundant ?
Remote Employees Forced Back
It's recently come to my attention that any remote employees that live close to an office they are able to travel to will be told to go back to office again. There are teams that are remote only that will be told the same thing that do not live anywhere close to an office and will have to either move, or will be let go.
Contractors
Are they still around?
I was a contractor on the tech side and left in January because I got a better job and because I’ve worked at a PE owned company before and I knew what was coming?
The team I was on was 90% contractors. I can’t imagine what shape they are in if contractors are gone.
SKO
Are we really having a sales kickoff? How much money does this cost? wouldn't it bt better to save? instead of flying everyone out just to "network" and get drunk in las vegas.
Offshore is still your enemy.
I have seen team after team's work get stolen by ireland or India, and then those teams dismantled.
US employees, when your team starts interacting with ireland or india in anyway way, know that their goal is to acquire your work so that your job can be eliminated.
I saw 2 teams in rx last week that developed a system, and slowly brought in the Irish, those entire us teams were eliminated on Friday.
Do NOT cooperate with ireland at any cost. Don't respond to their emails, don't assist them, etc...
