I know the budgets for the store teams came out, but have the budgets for the management team came out? Or any changes in jobs for managers/captains. Any layoffs or role changes being talked about?

Heard from my manager to not expect AIP. They submitted ratings, but not budget.

Just ask the simple question is it still 120% of budget.. is it tho... the decisions being made are just absolutely absurd at this point and that's saying a lot over the past 3-4yrs let alone the last 15. Sad for all of those who put in the time and effort to hit your # you will get a BS excuse as to why it has now changed... last minute things that make you go hmmm

London City Council overrode Mayor Randall Weddle's vetoes on Tuesday. This included an amended budget ordinance. The new budget could lead to 87 city employee layoffs. Affected employees are filing a wrongful termination lawsuit. The budget changes are set to take effect next Thursday.

Western College recently laid off over 60 employees. This action dissolves about half of these positions and restructures others. The college aims to reduce its budget by approximately $4 million. Budget shortfalls stem from reduced property taxes and reliance on reserves. Impacted employees received 90-day notices and six months of health insurance.

Some thoughts as I think about the 2025 capital budget and what it implies at PSX:

• Same level of spend as prior years, adjusted for their acquisition of WRB. This suggests that PSX views capital spend as a constant and something that has to be spent regardless of market environment. As an investor that concerns me regarding their ability to show returns over the long term. This likely is the result of their outdated views on midcycle and how capital is spent relative to other priorities.

• PSX continue to chase a short-term EBITDA target in Midstream while margins in the business are declining. This jeopardizes long-term returns at PSX in favor of short term stock appreciation.

• PSX continues to spend significantly at CPChem at a time when two large projects will put additional pressure on margins. This downward margin pressure will compromise their project returns and jeopardize the returns at PSX for years to come.

• PSX is spending $1.1B on Refining but can cite only one large project. This is in contrast to their peers that are making real market calls on how they are spending their capital. It potentially suggests that PSX does not have projects identified that are at scale and that they may struggle to have a read on the market environment to know where to invest.

• VLO is spending $1.6B on refining with several large projects cited to reposition their refineries. Perhaps this is why PSX struggle to outperform VLO.

• MPC is spending $1.25B on refining projects and is making real market calls at several refineries

At a time when PSX needs to show they can operate refineries well, one would think they would have more detail on projects that will reposition their assets. Instead, we get the same answer we get every year and a capital budget that looks like the one the year before.

400 million spent to be spent on layoffs each Quarter this FY?

CR and CU is more concerned on cutting their staff when they don't meet their unrealistic budgets than be a true leader. If they aren't shown the door soon all of the other BU's will be going the way of our maintenance division.

This is not the first time Target has failed. Had they learned their lesson after failing to launch in Canada they would not be in this mess. They believe they can tell consumers what that need and want and that’s just not how it works. Value is such a subjective thing and Walmart and Costco have successfully tapped into this. I remember when I started 4 years ago and barely shopped at Target as a consumer because I was on a tight budget. Once I got my employee discount I figured it was worth it. I stuck to groceries and avoided the stuff I didn’t need. I told my senior director that Target may be off putting to people on a budget and maybe that should do a fun marketing campaign making fun of overspending and that you could grocery shopping on a budget. His response: we have teams that look into marketing and for me to essentially stay in my lane. This is why Target is failing. Leaders think they know better. I left a year ago and just shake my head at such an avoidable situation.

GF can't seem to get GaN right. They started with IMEC some years back, then bought a version from Ratheon, then the past few years have licensed or bought other flavors of GaN from TSMC and others. Why is GF wasting so much money to get a version of GaN working? Did they lose all their technology device/process talent? Something seems broken!!!

Nearly end of the year, With the payroll cut offs due soon any news? Whats the delay the earnings have been published, mid years have been completed, why is this company still hanging onto peoples pay rises?

Despite record margins and a good business environment, discussions are under way about how to (1) pay for the promotions needed to have a viable career ladder for individual contributors (2) bring in new engineers to the industry without growing the budget (3) bring WDs opex closer to Seagate's (4) pay for depreciation on capital expenditures which are needed

Penny brought Hoda Kotb in to speak at a conference for six figures while she is laying people off, demoting people, and sending American jobs to India. Where are Penny's priorities? Penny is managing partner to make sure the work gets done. Penny is supposed to be a steward of Edward Jones' assets. How is spending six figures to bring in Hoda Kotb being a good steward of Edward Jones' assets? I am a partner at Edward Jones. She is using our capital to bring these people in. Penny is wasting money while cutting good people who were doing the job needed. Now she is laying people off knowing full well the people left over cannot properly absorb the work of everyone who has been laid off. All Hoda Kotb said was word salad like she said on the Today Show for years. Hoda is fine, she just does not give any insightful points that is relatable to business at Edward Jones. Hoda's "jewel" was "Do not hog your journey....share it with others." Six figures for that pearl of wisdom? How does that inspire a smaller work force to do more work due to Penny's poor leadership decisions of slashing jobs and punishing the survivors to do more work for less money?

All of these unrealistic budget projections and talk of losing money is so they will not have to pay out on our bonuses. the 1st step in figuring the amount of money toward bonuses is company profit. It they company loses money, there is no profit, therefore no bonus money.
You should never count your chickens before they hatch but especially dont spend your planned bonus money because it is all but a given there will be none to very little come March 26.

Someones is lying. They either have billions of dollars increased year by year or they don't. Only a few months to go before we know what 2025 numbers are. These numbers are made public on their unauthenticated website / press releases. As someone prior wrote : laid off with a Less than acceptable reason.
