VOE

I’ve probably done at least 10 VOE’s and they always said it was anonymous and I truly believe it is because the last five I have absolutely trashed management with the lowest possible score 🤣🤣🤣. And I’ve asked to be laid off for the last three years and I’m still here doing one hour of work every day. Anyone else think this place is completely clueless?

Got Displaced Today

I got displaced this morning and feeling bad for myself as I have always given 110%. While trying to get additional info from “HR” and trying to communicate with a rep in the philllipines who (besides barely speaking English) didn’t show any empathy or compassion for the companies own employees, THAT was the solidification I needed to say a big F U C K Y O U to this company who treats their American employees like trash, especially when you need them the most. This job loss might be the best thing to have happened to me.

A bit of a late post but here it goes

I was cut after 15 years at Centene. I was in a specialized department and fully expected to retire there, but corporate decided our roles are likely being outsourced. Shoutout to our director for actually being VERY transparent about it instead of bullsh-tting all of us. The exit package was $56k, 8 months of COBRA, and 3 months of career placement help (for most of us it's useless)... it felt pretty fair and I signed the docs... now it's time to look for the next thing

Leadership On the Ropes!

...bobbin'n weavin'...shufflin' and scufflin', contemplatin'n rearrangin', jugglin' chainsaws'n spinnin' plates, crunchin' numbers'n playin' Tetris with org. charts, tryna make sense of their self-created nonsense...LOL!

They're really got THEIR work cut out for them now.
Besides the money involved, here's probably the next most crucial piece of the puzzle and why leadership is so concerned with "retaining employees due to this mess" during the whole VSP thing:

  • "Since ACA, Medicaid, and MA are Federal/state regulated and implemented plans, cuts in staff can lead to CMS and state department of banking/insurance scrutiny on coverage and service."

They've got to deal with BIG LAW ENFORCEMENT breathing down their necks, which has the potential to cru$h them via a$tronomical fine$ and penaltie$, depending on the #s of soon-to-be-vacated job slots, due to so many people now wanting to head for the hills, ever since this VSP was offered. And that's not even factoring in the layoffs they're anticipating to follow soon thereafter. Looks like they cooked their own goose. LMAO!!!

Leadership is surely scrambling and in a collective panic, over how to deal with all of the moving parts. "We need MORE TIME!...This is TOO MUCH!"
Oh well "leadership", guess you should've planned better.
Why don't you have better time management skills? Should we put you all on a PIP?
That's what they pay you the big bucks for, right? Thought you were so smart, what happened? Why is this such a struggle for you now? Feeling pressure? Sorry, not sorry.
Lots of late nights now, where they're actually having to WORK for their big@zz $$$!

Hey "leadership":
Have fun untangling the rat king you all created with this VSP thing!
What are you even doing reading this board now, anyway?
Get back to WORK!
Earn your Keep, "BIG-WIGS"!

HAHAHAHAAAAAAA!!

QA/LCAR Got Hit Hard With Layoffs Today

Several teams across several Managers got laid off mostly at core sites (Chandler/TX), too). While it wasn’t totally unexpected, us hourly employees usually just got moved to a new team and all was good, but not this time. There were appx 15 on our team who got let go. Not sure if the Managers were displaced as well.

Partially Meets The Door.

From conversations I've had, it sounds like the company is still working to align spending with current business realities. One of the innovation leaders I respect shared that August and September are expected to be particularly challenging as organizations work toward their headcount targets. Many innovation teams are reportedly running more than 3% above their planned staffing levels, which means difficult decisions are likely ahead.

If that's the case, it's going to be an anxious summer for a lot of people. My advice is to focus on what you can control: deliver meaningful work, support your teammates, keep learning, and take care of yourself.

Enjoy the summer where you can. The months ahead may test a lot of us.

Thinking about applying to Appian

I’ve noticed that almost every day there’s another LinkedIn post from someone leaving Appian. What's got me is that many of them have been with the company for 4 or, 5, or even 10 years. At the same time, I keep seeing lots of Appian jobs being advertized. Im just trying to understand and wonder what’s happening. Is the company growing that quickly, or are these roles mainly replacing people who are leaving?

I’m asking because changing jobs is a big decision. If you’re happy where you are, you don’t want to leave for something that looks great on paper only to find it’s not what you expected. I’m not criticizing Appian or suggesting there’s a problem &I honestly donnno. I’m just interested in hearing from people who work there now or have left recently. Is this just normal, or is there something that’s driving so many people to move on?

ABS leaving

Email from carrie Milby just sent that long time system ABS will be gone in 2027. Doesnt say when just 2027. Funny they say this after the VSP window is closed. This is something that could have been a deciding factor for a lot of people who work on ABS for day to day work.

What a day!!

Today I witnessed all that is wrong with the human race. All people really care about is themselves, they asked the questions, but all they really wanted to know or hear was not me, not me(this time). However, what I found most disgusting was the thanking and emoji sending of hi---rs henchmen who were send out in force, it made me sick to my stomach tbh, to all the good people who left today I genuinely will miss you guys and I wish you well over the next few months.

Future of support for emea and possibly amer?

More and more nb support engineers are being hired and integrated in support teams. English speaking support engineers have been getting layed off in recent years and it looks like the remaining support engineers are next.

Does someone have any info on this? Whats the timeline? Supposed to be a new batch of newbies soon which we probably have to train to replace us to reduce costs.
