If we suspect that we will be RIFd can we use up our future vacation? Would it be deducted from our final pay or have to pay back?

The NBA eliminated dozens of jobs this week. This action reallocates resources toward key growth areas. These areas include NBA Europe and the local TV business. The league plans to make new strategic hires in these sectors. Impacted employees will receive severance and transition support.

Why is it mostly us at Optum that have to worry about our jobs all the time? There are many GL 30 and 31 with no directs over at UHC, while at Optum GL29 has 15 directs. Seems they need an alignment.

Barstow intermodal gateway project approved for construction according to media, so in less than 5 years when new contracts come up for bid, Barstow current facility and Shepherd going to be closed down, with resources shifted the same way the did in Interbay to Vancouver, transcon traffic will increase but facilities like Houston that require annual repair are going to be scabbed out to RJ Corman like Pearland. That’s why there is no more mechanical facilities other than Temple from the coast to Tulsa, and seniority wise Houston is almost at 20 years to hold in TY&E

For example, offer 5 years of age and tenure in exchange for early retirement. I wager you'd get a few takers and thus reduce the burden of another involuntary force reduction.
