I'm eng4 level management, what does the severance package look like? I'll be exiting in 8 months at any rate, but I cannot find any detail on Comcast severance. Yes, I will be leaving voluntarily, but I would prefer a layoff.

Training department layoffs
Today, myself and several of my colleagues in Learning and development were laid off in a round of “reorg.” This was the third reorg in 3 years. They had announced a reorg over a month ago, but when executives were asked about layoffs during a meeting, they evaded the question. Today, they also refused to disclose how many people were affected.
This company is absurd. Every October, they conduct layoffs. The executives should be the ones laid off.
Im still waiting to hear about the severance package. Anyone know?
Separation email (September 2nd layoff)
Any one received any email regarding separation/last day today?
Another voluntary package
Me and a few others I know were offered voluntary exit packages. This is likely a precursor to layoffs in a few months or early 2026
Procter & Gamble restructuring plans: Buyouts, brand sales and a CEO shakeup
- The last time P&G did a major restructuring, most of the jobs reductions were buyouts. Likely targets: Generation X, those born between 1965 and 1980.
- So far, P&G has indicated it wants to make trims. Its last round of cuts started small but then got deeper after earlier rounds failed to achieve a turnaround.
- Further change will likely occur at the top with a new incoming CEO and other management shifts.
- The company said some brands might go, but it's not clear how many or which ones.

Hoping for layoffs
I'm sorry, but I'm tired and I want out - and I want them to pay me to leave. I've given enough to this place to walk away with nothing.
Cisco package before starting pip
What's the package offered if one fails documented coaching before being put on PIP officially? Is it possible to negotiate/extend the last day of employment on paper?
If we resign during coaching period, is it considered as termination?
Severance benefits beyond cash payment
Hi, does Nike provide any resume or other outplacement support?
Terminated as a result of Retaliation
I was displaced, filed an ER grievance, and was then ultimately terminated after my Notice Period ended in a clear case of retaliation. While I'm pursuing legal action, trying to ascertain if the bank can now cut off my severance, benefits, damage my employment record etc. I'll know soon enough and will address accordingly, just curious if anyone has a definitive answer.
After displacement in Oct., can I still enroll in FSA for 2026?
I’m being displaced in October. And then I’ll have severance for most of next year. Can I enroll in a flexible spending account for 2026?
Explain this to me
Let’s say that you are a Phase 2 employee who gets blindsided jn November and laid off. Do you get severence as well? Or just nothing, but the ability to collect unemployment.
Seems kind of unfair to not allow an early option to quit and take the severence pay because you are remote. You would hope they would not lay off any remote workers in November but from what I understand everyone in the entire company is vulnerable on November 11.
I, for one, would actually prefer to be laid off
With a decent severance to bridge me over, I’d take it. I’ve had enough of this company. After some time here you eventually hit a wall without even realizing it, and there’s no real path forward after that. The job market isn’t great right now, but staying here doesn’t feel like much of a boon anymore. Whatever the rumors turn out to be, I truly hope those who need the job get to keep it. But for me, walking away and leaving this place in the rearview would be a relief.
$46.10
All these awards VH receives and yet the stock sits in the mid 40's. When Oxy is sold and she rides away with her ridiculous executive severance package, I hope all this blathering on this blog was worth it. She'll move on and you will be stuck with the steaming mess of your career to resurrect.. Good luck.
unfavorable social media posts
Has anyone heard of anyone being fired for unfavorable social media posts? In light of all the companies I see firing people for their comments regarding Charlie Kirk's assignation and then the Pulse article titled "Pause Before You Post: A Reminder on Social Media Responsibility", I figure social media posts will be ELV next way of firing people. They will be able to reduce numbers while not having to pay severance...smh
Recruiter Layoffs
How many of us nursing recruiters were let go today? This is such bullsh-t. No performance plan my entire 6 year career but I get let go out of nowhere today for under performing??? Make it make sense. And thanks for the 2 weeks severance. F this place
Major Layoffs (Just 12 days for the 4th Quarter)
The largest single corporate layoff in U.S. history was IBM's reduction of its workforce by 60,000 employees in 1993.
However, the ongoing mass federal layoffs under the second Trump administration, potentially exceeding 200,000 workers and possibly reaching 300,000, could surpass this corporate record if completed. More to come in 4th Quarter 2025
Other major layoffs include Citigroup's 50,000 job cuts in 2008 and Sears' 50,000 job cuts in 1993.
Levels under leadership don’t qualify for the Severance
FYI— it was confirmed by my leadership that the volunteer exit plans and the severance are only applicable to people at her level or higher. I’m a USA which means I don’t qualify. No USA’s will qualify for it. Just proves upper leadership could not give a f-ck less about people at my level.
Think of yourself and families before this company.
Is RTO on the table?
Since it's pretty obvious they want to continue reducing headcount, would they pull the trigger to force returning to the office? I imagine a lot of people would say 'no thanks' and leave, and others would leave simply due to living too far from any office location. It would save them a ton on severance, but would they take the risk of losing people they actually want to keep?
I was laid off, but here is some advice for anyone who is staying in their job.
Yes, I was laid off, and I was in shock, especially since I had a good performance review and my metrics were always strong. I cared about my job and my customers, but after three years, I realized the following negative points. The only positive aspect was my coworkers; everything else was disappointing.
- Don’t get comfortable. I did, and I never expected this layoff, but no one owes you anything.
- Upskill. I started this process five months ago, and the job market is brutal. If I had stayed at Oracle for ten years, it would have been almost impossible to re-enter the market.
Understand that layoffs are not over. They will continue next year. Don’t be a fool; have a plan, save your income, upskill, and be ready to move on!
There’s no pay raise. Why would you want to work at a place that doesn’t offer raises?
- It’s pointless to work on weekends when you might get let go anyway. I did that, and it was a mistake.
I'm actually glad this happened after three years rather than after 28 years.
I have Oracle on my resume, which is the only positive. However, I would never recommend Oracle as a place to work.
RCC France
This morning we were told that the company and the unions will begin negotiations shortly. allowing those who want to leave the company on a voluntary basis to receive at least a good exit package
What's The Last Day For Medical
Part of layoff for September 22,2025. What's the last day my medical? Do I get continuous medical, dental, vision for extra one month? Plus till today I received 2 pay slips. Anything else I am missing?
14 Years Down The Drain
I was let go today after being with the bank 14 years. Curious if I was targeted to prevent a potential much bigger severance at 15 years.
Is there a way to change withholding to have less taxes taken out of severance?
Although I'm not surprised because I've watched things change for the worse. But I didn't see it coming because there are other job openings in my department. Same old sad story of a decent employee who thought they'd retire with the bank.
Confirmed Cairo office shut
It was confirned yo us on an AMER team meeting that Cairo office to be shut, severance to be paid to 180+ employees, plus potential option to move to capgemini... Just like that eh wow.
Dear @Mr. LBT, Please allow for voluntary leave options with severance packages. Thank you!
Dear @Mr. LBT,
Please re-open voluntary retirement and severance with package options for your employees.
Many of us have now changed our minds and would like the option to leave with a severance package.
This will benefit both the company and employees. The company needs to reduce head count to 75k and this allows employees who feel that they are no longer able to contribute to Intel's success to leave on one's personal choice.
We do not want to leave without a severance package, as for many we don't have the luxury of doing so. However, with a severance package, we have a buffer and confidence needed to move on.
We wish you the best of success LBT! However, many of us do not have the courage to ride out the rough waves with you.
Have you started applying?
I have no intention of waiting for the last moment and then competing with everyone else who’s been laid off for the few jobs that’ll be left. Yes, I won’t get severance if I leave on my own, but frankly, I’d rather have a job than some money and the uncertainty of finding something else.
take the package (if you can)
drivers who are eligible should retire now if they can and take the package...
it looks like they are offering full pension benefits and current health benefits, though each person will need to pay about 200. the only question is whether ups will cover accrued vacation time if drivers accept the buyout. older drivers will see route changes as package volume declines. younger drivers with less seniority will face layoffs or be forced to work two hub shifts.
low-seniority hub employees will likely be laid off. i feel bad for operations supervisors, especially the older ones, because they will be overworked and mistreated. ups seems to be pushing them toward retirement or waiting them out until they pass.
Still undecided........
I opted out of VSP. I have mixed emotions on staying.... who else is in my shoes?
Severance
Can anyone share if they were able to negotiate severance and what was offered?
Way more people took the offer than I thought
Based on my team and what I’ve heard so far it feels like half the people I work with took the opt out. Lot of big hitters and people who have been around a while. And they’re only the ones I know about. Wondering if this is similar across the company or I’m just in a department where people can’t wait to leave.
Many More Today How To Prepare?
It happened today after thirteen years. I have just a few days left with my current login, any advice? This is the best scenario as there were many times where I didn't think I could stand working for the narcissistic, self absorbed man who micromanages the entire group as a director. He is widley disliked, thinks he is smarter than everyone else and loves to talk constantly.
I am not alone on the layoff stagecoach today. BOS is letting go of 50 today and apparently there is more.
CenterWell Riffs
I just lost my job with CenterWell Home Health. Just went through this with Optum in January. Auth Dept hit, I'm in Billing/AR and they wiped us out basically. Blindsided. Supervisors, managers had no clue, left in the dark. Oh, that's because they kicked them out the door as well. Good luck offshoring work. They all do such a great job....NOT.
Volunteering for layoffs
Does anyone know if it’s actually possible/a thing to volunteer to be on a layoff list for the next round? If it’s inevitable to hit all departments, would rather it be me than others on the team who need this job more than I do -and at least with the layoff you get severance/unemployment vs. nothing when quitting.
Please do not comment with attacks or hurtful insults. This is an honest, genuine question and am curious - this board has been inundated with people insulting people on repeat…which is neither helpful or productive.
Today's The Day
Yesterday was the deadline to accept the separation offer. Anyone take it or know someone who did?
Tuesday after payday, 9/16/2025
I was on the elevator yesterday with managers talking about a Senior Executive is visiting our site 9/16/2025. When this happens there's always displacements. Please displace me today. Displace me with severance please and thank you. Anonymous.
The opt outs?
How long will it be before we know how many have opted out of the crazy and taken the severance package? And then how long before we know how many more will need to be laid off to fulfill the goal set?
I decided to leave
I opted in. More spur of the moment than some grand plan. I’ve been tired of what this place has been turning into for a long time, and I wasn’t about to stick around for the ringer that’s coming. Sure, I’m worried about what’s out there, but I’ve got a few tentative options - and even that’s something. Maybe I picked the worst time to jump. But right now I just feel relieved.
I simply cannot overstate how badly I want to get that meeting morning tomorrow
🤞
(🙏 oh please, oh please, oh please...)
If there was ever a time to offer voluntary displacements...
The bank wants its on-shore employees to be gone.
Many (most?) of these same employees hate their jobs but are unlikely to leave due to the current job market. It's hard to spend all day in a job you hate and then find the mental/emotional energy after getting home, dinner, etc to job hunt. It's not impossible, but difficult.
Enter severance.
If the bank is worried about high performers leaving, they can stop worrying. Disengaged employees are not high performers. People perform highly when they like their job.
Nearly all employees that would take the voluntary buyout are exactly the employees the bank wants gone anyway.
The bank keeps hoping that people will leave on their own. It's not going to happen. Wells needs to take lead on this.
Until then, the armies of unhappy employees will continue to do the bare minimum. I don't understand how the bank sees this as the better option.
Notice period and severance pay
Hello all, the notice period and amount of severance pay vary from country to country. I was wondering if you received notice period and severance pay according to the law in your country or did Oracle provide you with an extra package beyond the law?
