I'm interviewing in Richfield for a role. How is BBY doing? Do they layoff often? Which departments are are risk?

For anyone who has had this happen, how hard is it to get to another department/team? How long did it take? Was reorged today and not thrilled with where they put me.

Currently in prod support, WLB is not there and looking to pivot. Which is better? Or is it all bad?

I work in the credit fraud department, where overtime is often offered. However, today, they announced that overtime is no longer available for stateside employees, but the contractors in India will now be able to work overtime. We inquired about the reason behind this decision, and they simply stated that overtime is not a guaranteed benefit. Furthermore, on March 20, they laid off a few remote workers from my department. All of these events make me feel uneasy. Anything like this going on in your department?

As of today’s end, our department has still not received any communication from leadership regarding compensation. The ongoing lack of clear leadership and consistent communication continues to be our department’s most significant concern.

Business continuity? The “Nike intelligence center”? Emergency management? Literally millions are being WASTED in payroll and opex with people getting paid to twiddle their thumbs, while people who actually do work are getting decimated.

Pls list any department or area with active RIF’S . Maybe we can see a pattern ?

Why did it take so long to officially announce Omar’s departure? Jeff has been in the role since February.

I’m sure there are numerous, but the 360 app team is a total mystery to me. No one responds to emails or messages. It’s impossible to get any answers to XDA or FMP. I am starting to think none of them know the programs and aren’t able to answer questions.

Boarding begins 8AM Tuesday

Layoffs have been making their way into the department, and there keeps being talk that Platinum Service Leads are next amongst coworkers. Management is also really pushing for us to prove we are busy. Just wanted to put it out there and see what people have been hearing.

you can usually tell the power setup in a department within the first 5 minutes of a meeting.

just watch who the boss talks to first. watch who they ask for ideas, who they look to for answers, and who they check with before moving on.

when a boss says stuff like, "jason, what do you thnk??? or "nicole, what is your take?" that tells you a lot. it shows who they trust and whose opinion matters most. that is usually the person with real pull in the room, even if their title does not sound the biggest.

sooo, its simple, pay attention to that person….learn how they think. build a good working relationship with them. a lot of times, that is the person helping shape the real decisions and decides who moves up or down.

Merle Norman is a great option if there are any near you. Commission is much better than belk, without the insane requests for credit, working in other departments, and understaffing.

We had a coffee chat with the director of our department, and they mentioned that most of the LCS projects are likely to be either discontinued or significantly scaled down. At the same time, there’s another initiative emerging informally around DAC using Amines. The person leading this has no knowledge of fundamentals. Another waste of resources.

my opinion, complete waste of time. Department trying to justify their wasted "AI" investment.

Any insight on which depts/teams on the upcoming lists? There are 4 more layoff dates - along with individual layoffs thru Q4 2026.

Does anyone know if bosses can essentially block an associate from transferring to another internal job? No known freezes or limits within the department on transfers.

Saddle Creek Logistics Services announced layoffs. The company will lay off 151 employees. This affects its Bessemer location. Layoffs are scheduled to begin on April 30. This information comes from the Alabama Department of Labor.

I’m hoping our team is next. Seriously our team serves no purpose to be fair. It could be done by other departments or really just an automation in the system. It’s not survival it’s just the truth. Not sure why they even made this team as it doesn’t even make sense. Literally here collecting until the end because it pays something while looking elsewhere.
